Eggrolls: I like how peppery the eggrolls were and that they were not oily. The crust could be a bit crunchier and the filling could be a tiny bit juicier. Great filling-crust ratio.
Pho: great flavors, very well seasoned. The meats were so good. I do like Pho Hoa on Nicollet as well, and just for comparison purposes, it was more heavily seasoned than Pho Hoa. The Pho noodle texture was very great, it has a slight bounce to it.
The noodle’s flavor was a bit dough-y for my liking, so if I eat the noodle on its own, then the noodle overpowered the broth’s flavor. However it still tasted good if I paired meat and broth with every single bite of noodle.
They are very generous on the noodle. I scooped some out to the side and make my own little dry Pho Noodle mix with their chili oil, hot sauce, and hoison sauce. That tasted quite good.
I can’t recommend this place enough and sure am looking forward to come back!
The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes and beverages. I ordered the Tai Bo Vien in an XL size because I was craving both steak and meatballs. The portion was incredibly generous which was enough to cover both lunch and dinner for me Hahaha! It came with a side of fresh vegetables, and I appreciated the complimentary cold water.
One of the highlights was the condiment station, which had a wide selection of spices and sauces to customize your pho just the way you like it.
For such a large portion, the total cost came to $25.98 including tip, which felt like a great value. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our visit. There’s also a conveniently located men’s restroom inside the restaurant and a spacious parking lot nearby, making the overall experience even more comfortable.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for flavorful Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed setting!
Summary
I ordered the XL bowl and it’s a good size. The price is on the higher end for Pho. Broth was mild but good. Well balanced with a slight hint of sweetness. People who like a mild broth would enjoy the Pho.
Would I eat here again? Yes, but once in a blue moon. The Pho is good.
Spring rolls: 8/10. Very good, nice size and the dipping sauce was good.
Eggrolls: 8/10. Very good. Loved the crunchy outer shell and the fillings were meaty. Nice size and the dipping sauce were good.

THE BEST ITEM in the MENU is the BANH MI!!! I think this is the best banh mi in the state!!! Easily top 3 Banh mi here. All the Banh Mi here is good! I personally like the BBQ Banh mi. Everyone be sleeping on these Banh mi. 10/10 for the Banh Mi.
The Pho is good. Taste like your stereotypical regular pho (7-8/10). Spring rolls not bad (7-8/10). The items of the menu are decently good too but a little pricey (honestly cost the same everywhere else now too tbh). Boba is pretty good too (7-8/10).
Overall, nice small cozy restaurant. I mainly just come here for the Banh mi. I eat it everyday if I lived closer. Def try their Banh Mi!! Sleeper spot for sure.
‘8/10.’ “It might be the best Banh Mi in MN…or nationwide…”
