Very popular and busy restaurant for dine in and take out – seems to be mom and pop shop with hardworking staff. I appreciate they are very diligent and attentive, everyone is treated respectively in the manner of order (the gentleman remembers who comes in first). I think coming around at the closing hour, being consistently busy, the broth tasted a bit watered down to keep up with the demands. It was lacking flavour that I had to put salt in to get some depth. The cuts of marbled brisket was great for the pho dac biet. Restaurant is extremely clean, comfortable, with BYOB, etc – will try again for the soup (3/5) but sandwiches are great for portion, value and taste (5/5)

We had a great time eating delicious at Pho Old Saigon. The menu has a good selections of dishes, from pho to desserts. The food is authentic and delicious. Definitely one of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Waikiki.

Went here after my workout and was so hungry and was met with the sweet smile of the owner. They have tons of delicious food items from pho, rice dishes, banh mi, and other harder to find viet food like canh chua or banh trang plates. I ordered the pho dac biet and it was delicious!

Even though the place was short staffed you had to wait for your food, it was well worth it. In my own hood, there is a real real. This place surpassed it. It tasts like you are eating in Vietnam. The flavor is most on note. My favorite is green papaya salad, and I was not disappointed. Truly a family owned business that has the food flavors you and I want. The reviews are accurate, and I am glad that I ate here. One more thing, the dining area is not super large. Do remember that.

We were looking for some good Vietnamese food and we came across this place. We were seated quickly and the overall service was good. My particular order was the BBQ pork banh mi which was sooo good and was the length of my ARM. The portion sizes for all the entrees were pretty generous as well. The thai tea was perfectly sweetened and the iced coffee w/ condensed milk was pretty strong (prefer it that way). Overall, very satisfied with the quality and freshness of the food.

Seriously amazingly good food. The subtly rich flavours of the beef pho, and mildly sour depth of the sweet & sour catfish soup (canh chua ca bong lau; mildly sour to me, that is), with its slices of young taro stem and other vegetables in the big bowl of broth with the tender hunk of fish, were outstanding.

I loved this place. All the food was extremely fresh, the herbs were nice and had lots of taste, pho broth was really pure, even the shake I had was carefully and craft fully prepared. Service also really good!

This place was amazing. Keep in mind, I’m a pretty hard critic of Vietnamese food. I grew up eating Vietnamese food. You can tell the owners focuses on the quality of the ingredients and the food in general. The food here is very authentic. The summer rolls were well wrapped, it did not fall apart. The noodles, veggies, and meat ratio was perfect and the sauce was delicious! Only part of a roll made it into the pictures . The sandwiches were amazing, so delicious it didn’t even get it’s picture taken before my boyfriend finished it off. The broken rice plate… Well let’s just say there was only the one bone from the pork chop left. The owner was super friendly, the place was clean, and had a good social distancing protocol. I will definitely be back! There’s parking in back but limited.
