So it’s probably been about 30 years since I had Vietnamese food and don’t really remember much about it, but I did want to try it again, so myself and AK decided to try Pho Nominal in beautiful downtown Binghamton. As they were bringing everything to our table, we had plenty of questions about the condiments and sauces on the table. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us decide what we wanted to eat. All in all, the food and drinks were great, and I will return.

The restaurant is extremely clean. Other than the customers talking, there is no background noise so it was easy to hear the table conversation as if we were in our own dining room eating at home. I had the pork spring roll, which was crispy and definitely not oily. The pork flavor came through, but did not overpower the subtle of vegetable flavoring. The Thai tea was adequate, much better than a soda. The person was standing with had the chicken wings and Syd said they were very delicious. I had the Pho shrimp which is a large serving, so don’t order a lot of other things if you’re going to have the Pho. The shrimp had flavor, therefore it was not overcooked. The beef broth was flavorful and not salty. The fresh onions and a spicy oil rounded out to dish. There is an ample quantity of noodles. At the table next to the napkins are chopsticks, as well as Silverware that is sealed in a paper container like a straw. The waitress, whose first initial is K, checked back frequently to make sure that everything was to our expectations. The person I was standing with had a lemon grass hoagie with beef, a spicy level of one. After we’re done eating, they commented that they would like to come back sometime soon to have it again. Parking is around the corner. There’s zero step entrance. Lots of space between the Tables on the right side of the dining room and the staff area/counter on the left.

I recently came here with some friends for lunch. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with grilled chicken, shrimp, and spring roll. It came with sauce on the side. I was a little surprised to see just 3 pieces of shrimp, for some reason I was expecting more based on the menu photo of the dish. Overall, this dish tasted average. Portion wise, this dish will fill you up. Also, side note you have to pay extra if you ask for more sauce for this dish which I didn’t know until I asked for more sauce. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee and I wish it was more sweetened but that is my personal preference. Service was mediocre, the waitresses could have been more attentive to our table but they did seem busy attending to other groups that came in after us.

I mean, their name gives it away, they are phenomenal or Pho Nomenal. No boasting on their part just accurate statements of how delicious the food is. We were finally able to get parking near here and check it out. We ordered one hot and one iced Vietnamese coffee. We also ordered the wings and they were delicious, I highly recommend them. The mix of flavors on these chicken wings are incomparable to anything else in the area. The skin was perfectly crisp and the inside was tender and juicy.

Ok, the pho, we both ordered the pho listed with ribeye and also opted add-ins of mixed vegetables and an egg. The egg is cracked in a small dish and brought out to you, it will cook up in your very hot soup so you can mix it in. If this doesn’t suit you, definitely don’t get it as an add-in, I didn’t really notice it once it mixed in so I could just have kept the beef and veggies. The soup is nice and flavorful, it’s not spicy, so it can be well suited for anyone. That being said, I love spice and can’t get enough. For those that love spice like I do, they include sriracha sauce at the table for a little kick. There’s also hoisin sauce (a sweet tangy bbq favor), and fish sauce which adds a nice savory (umami) flavor. Those sauces I great and yes, I used them all. I reached around to the other side to grab the little jar. I’m honestly not sure if it’s sambal olek or an in-house spicy sauce, but you can see all the seeds from the chilis in it and that’s where you can find a bit of spice. Try a little to see if you like it before adding a bunch to your soup. We can add more, we can’t subtract. I added a bunch and loved it, to each their own. Give this place a try, the food is great and it’s a comfortable relaxing restaurant.

The pho portions are massive, it worked out to be two meals in one for me, I love that! Also, I wanted to note the restrooms (at least the women’s) were clean and spacious, and accessible. The doors seemed larger to accommodate a wheelchair if needed, the also have grab rails nearby for accessibility, multiple hooks to hang your purse, coats, backpacks, or whatever, and they have a changing table. The restrooms are just in and to the left upon walking in, which also keeps them away from the main dining area, always a good idea.

Definitely exceeds my expectations!! Broth tastes great. You can tell they made it by themselves. Wings are juicy and tender inside, and crispy outside. Love it!

I was pleasantly surprised at how much flavor you can pack in a soup! It was out of this world! It’s definitely a must try! Desserts weren’t a hit with me, but this is a pho place. And they have done exceeded my pho experience! Will be coming again soon!

This is the only place in Binghamton my husband and I will eat at because we love it so much here! We always get the eyeround steak pho with extra noodles (SO GOOD!) The table sauce they make is tasty and adds a little kick to the dish. They provide ample bean sprouts and leaves on the side. The aesthetics are very cute here and I appreciate they have a full bar. My only complaint is parking can be difficult sometimes but it’s worth it! Our experience has always been positive and the service is great – we always look forward to coming back whenever we’re in town! 🙂

Top 3 places in all of binghamton. Their pho is phenomenal (literally), i can’t wait to try their banh mi’s but they are usually always sold out aka they are probably bomb. Their Thai just hits different than normal boba places and i love the service so much. Will always go back!!

We stopped here for lunch recently and everything was great. The service was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent!

While we would have liked more menu items that could be accommodated for our dietary needs, they were great with helping us identify what we could have and were happy to answer all of our questions.

Everything we tried was excellent and made us want to try even more of the menu!

The wonton soup was very good and was a meal in itself, with wontons, noodles, sliced pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts in a very nice broth…

The Pork Banh Mi was the best I’ve ever had. The baguette was nice and soft in the center, the pork was deliciously seasoned, the vegetables were fresh and delicious, and the jalapeños added the perfect level of spice. I cannot wait to go back for another Banh Mi and maybe go try another dish!

I enjoy food from all over the world and love trying new things. If you haven’t tried Vietnamese food before, have and love it too, definitely check this place out!
