I’ve been on a pho kick lately and have tried most of the places in Utah Valley, and this is among the best. A few things make it a standout:
1. The broth is clean, savory, and not overly seasoned with heavy anise and black cardamom and sugar. If you like that more intense flavor profile some other places will likely suit your palate better. But if you want a well balanced, soul-filling beef broth on a cool day this is your place.
2. They offer tendon and tripe in addition to the usual brisket, steak, and meatballs. I get the “special” that has all of the toppings would recommend it to anyone who wants a more authentic experience as well as the benefits of collagen (and great flavor/texture).
3. They don’t skimp on the meat or noodles.
4. The price per bowl is more reasonable than some places.
5. They provide a huge pile of basil, cilantro, sprouts, chiles, and limes. These herbs alone would cost you like $8 in a grocery store. Tear them up and use them.
6. They provide big bottles of hoisin and sriracha on the tables so you can add just the right amount to each bite. Other places give you a teaspoonful in a plastic cup and you either have to ask for more or pay more for extra.
Great pho! I’ve had it about 5 times and will be back regularly.

I have passed this Pho place in Pleasant Grove 100 times. This past week I had the opportunity to eat there for the first time.
Atmosphere: At lunch time, it was bustling, nearly every table was full. Yet, in my booth, I still felt like I had privacy, and they made me feel like I was the only customer.
Food: The menu is straight forward, nice variety. As for my Pho, it was delicious and so filling. The broth felt very authentic, and the shrimp I had in mine was quite flavorful, not overdone!
Service: The waiter was courteous and attentive. When we didn’t order food right away, he was patient and flexible. The owner also stopped by and he was a delightful man. Very enjoyable hearing his story of a refugee boy coming to America, and now he is living the American dream, owning a wonderful eating establishment, and providing a valuable service to thousands of people a year.
I will definitely be returning.

Was really craving some pho, and stumbled upon this spot. Crossed my fingers and realized this might be the best pho I’ve had in Utah, thus far. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and the Pho No. 1 Special. The coffee was bittersweet and strong and tasted authentic! I was quite impressed by the broth, it was very clean and wasn’t overloaded with a lot of msg flavoring like other pho places ive tried in utah!! It tasted very clean and refreshing and the noodles were intact, nice and chewy! The portion was also pretty good for its price. The staff were very friendly. It seemed like there was only one main waiter, and he was super attentive despite it being a bit busy. I asked if i could get my bean sprouts steamed and he got it done quickly. Additional brownie points for good music (subjective)! Planning to come back again when im craving pho 🙂

The pho is really good, and the veggies are very fresh.
I imagine all the food is pretty tasty. I’ve had the egg rolls and the pot stickers, which are both recommended.
I’ve been here a few times; it has been pretty good and consistent every time.
Even when it is busy, the service is fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable as well.

This place used to be good, but now the quality has dropped. The prices are also much higher than they used to be. Meatball pho was disguisting, meatballs look like they are made from alien meat. Steak pho was really bland. I thought the batch they made was just bad, so I came back multiple times hoping to see an improvement. However, the taste just keeps getting worse. I won’t be coming back unfortunately.

I thought the food was very good and the portion sizes were also fair for the price. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars it is it wasn’t very clean and it looked like the building hadn’t been very well-maintained. Everyone in my family enjoyed the food that they received. The spring rolls that we got were some of the best that I had. I got one of the combo meal and thought it was very good with sweet-and-sour chicken.

Brisket pho and sesame chicken. The surroundings are clean. The service is just the right level to never want for anything and enjoy your meal. Even the bathrooms were clean and everything was neat. Served with pride and you the customer are treated with integrity and dignity. The food is simple, fresh, good ingredients, straight forward and not over the top. Straight forward and good service.

I’ve been coming here for years, both dining in and take out. The food is always very good and the amount is worth the price. My favorite is the vermicelli rice noodle bowl.
