Pho Thanh (listed as PHO NGON DAT VIET on Google, which initially threw me off) turned out to be a great little find. The inside is absolutely beautiful with warm lighting, floral touches, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel cozy yet modern. We came for their lunch feature, which offered great value and portion sizes.
The service was a bit chaotic when we went, but it was clear they were busy and still finding their rhythm as a newer restaurant. Despite that, everyone was friendly and doing their best to keep up. I ordered the rare beef pho, which was flavorful and comforting. A solid, classic bowl. My partner ordered the vegetarian pho, which tasted great but only came with two small pieces of tofu, so that could use a little more substance.
The owner was incredibly kind and personally apologized for the service delays, which really showed how much they care. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I’d come back once they’ve had more time to settle in.

I heard really good things about this place from friends. We went today for lunch and it did not disappoint. It has a really nice atmosphere, it’s spacious and quiet. The staff were great – super nice and helped with some recommendations for our meals. We had some chicken fresh rolls to start which were good. I had the braised beef stew which was phenomenal. I would highly recommend. I also tried my boyfriend’s rare beef pho which I found very flavourful. Normally at most pho restaurants I have to add things to the broth to adjust the flavours as I find them a bit bland but this one was great just the way it was!
The meals here are a bit more expensive than other pho restaurants but it makes up for that with flavour.

Tried the Special Beef Pho, Bánh Xèo, and a couple of drinks.
The special beef pho was solid overall—flavorful broth, a decent amount of protein, and well-cooked noodles. Nothing flashy, but a very good, satisfying bowl of pho.
The Bánh Xèo was my first time trying this seafood rice pancake. The batter was nicely crispy, the herbs added great freshness, and the seafood portion was generous. My only minor comment is that it was slightly greasy, but still very enjoyable.
Drinks really stood out. The Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai milk tea were both excellent—well made and legit. Easily 5/5 for drinks.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable, making it a great place to dine in.
Overall, food lands in the high 4/5 range, with excellent service, atmosphere, and drinks. Would definitely come back.

Really glad I went in and tried out this new spot! The interior looks amazing and very welcoming. Greeted immediately with a nice smile. And was seated right away.

OH MY GOD. If you love Vietnamese food come here. If you don’t like Vietnamese food come here. If you’ve never had Vietnamese food come here. This was the best food i’ve eaten in my life. I’ve been here 5 times now and I wish I could show a photo of the delicious grilled shrimp and mango salad I had but I ate it so fast because it was SO AMAZING. Here is a photo of the delicious chicken pho from another outstanding meal here. I have been to other pho restaurants in the city and the flavour of the broth at this place is INCREDIBLE. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND COME EAT HERE IT IS SOOOO DELICIOUS. Spring rolls are crispy and yummy like the best you’ve ever had in your LIFE. I brought my 60 year old parents here who have never eaten Vietnamese food in their life and they LOVED it. My boyfriend is a pho fanatic and he loves it. Everyone loves it. If you bring your date here they will probably propose on the spot. Shout out to whoever is in kitchen… you’re killing it. I am actually grateful to live in the city of St.Catharines because of how often I can visit this restaurant. Even if I moved across the world I would buy a plane ticket just to eat at this place again…. Okay that is all…. But for real it’s really that good

Food was delicious and hot. I enjoyed the cha gio and special pho, but would now venture to try more outré options. Prices were consistent with other places offering similar sizes and options. Would definitely return.

Saw this place as I was driving by and thought I should check it out – so happy I did!! Got a bit of a mix spread with the fish sauce chicken wings, bánh xèo, and single spring roll for appetizers and the regular beef and brisket pho and stone pot beef noodle soup for mains to share and it blew my mind with how fresh and delicious everything was. Definitely need to come back and explore the menu some more. Highly recommend!

As a self proclaimed pho connoisseur who was excited to try this place out, I was unfortunately extremely disappointed.
The pho was super bland, no flavour. We requested 2 glasses of water and they gave me a cup with someone else’s lipstick still all over it….
While the ambiance is nice, because of lack of flavour and lack of cleanliness, I will not come back, and overall never recommend to anyone.

Went for dinner as I’ve heard great things about this place.
We got fresh rolls, pho, and beef rice.
Dishes had great flavour, came out very fresh and hot and all around delicious.
Staff was very happy and attentive and it made for an excellent meal.
