The waitress came to our table and put a pot of hot tea with tiny bowls to drink from. She gave us a glass of water and a can of classic coke each.
I ordered large chicken soup with a variety of vegetables, noodles, salt, and pepper. It was very good and filling. They gave me a container to put my leftovers to take home. On the menu, they serve medium and large soup of our choice.
On my next visit, I ordered pork and rice, including one egg, vegetables, and bread. My brother ordered chicken and rice with vegetables. It was served hot and delicious.
This place is small. They do have tables with booths and chairs. They do have a restroom with Wheelchair Accessible Entrance. They have another restroom, for both male and female, to use. They do their best to keep them both clean.
They do have parking at the front of their restaurant. They share the parking lot with other small stores, restaurants, Scotiabank, Walmart, etc..
We began with the fresh shrimp rolls, a delightful combination of rice, bok choy, and shrimp wrapped in rice paper. While the peanut sauce was good, I highly recommend trying it with the hoisin sauce—a sweet and tangy Korean sauce that elevated the flavors beautifully.
For mains, I had the stir fried egg noodles with mixed vegetables and shrimp. The portion was massive, with fivd or six large prawns and perfectly spiced, fresh ingredients. My dining partner opted for the Pad Thai with beef, which had a unique red sauce with a mild spice kick. Both dishes were flavorful, generous, and priced reasonably at $17 each.
The freshness of the ingredients stood out, and we even had leftovers for lunch the next day. While the seating area could use a modern update, the food and hospitality made up for it. I’m definitely returning to explore more of the menu!
Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic and fresh Vietnamese-Thai cuisine, or if you never tried this delicious cuisine, Give it a try!
Update: we went back for more, this time we tried the beef rice roll, I prefer the shrimp one. For main course, I ordered the pad thai with shrimps and my wife ordered the stir fried egg noodles with mixed vegetables and beef. It was such satisfying choices.
