Went to this place for brunch. The spring roll tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while. The pho broth wasn’t bad, but I’ve never seen bean sprouts used instead of mung bean sprouts. It had a bit of that distinctive smell, which I didn’t like. The couple who seemed to be the owners were very friendly.

This location has always been a Pho joint. Just different owners. Mr.Do has been around for while now and has been serving this area well before the newer restaurants on Hastings. Super friendly Family owned and operated business. Broth is light and flavourful. All dishes are super authentic!

A Solid First Visit
We recently had our first meal here, and as a family of Vietnamese noodle enthusiasts, we were eager to try it out. We ordered a bowl of #29, a beef ball bowl for the kids, and a rice plate.
The service was excellent from the moment we stepped inside. Our server was genuinely happy and attentive, with a smile that never left her face, which made for a very pleasant dining experience.
The food was good, and the noodles were a standout—incredibly smooth, almost like cotton candy. They were also very generous with the portion of noodles in the bowl, providing more noodles than meat. However, the soup base, while light, seemed to be missing a certain element that would have elevated the flavor. It was good, but not quite a perfect 5-star broth for me.
Considering the reasonable price at $15.95 for a Large bowl, the meal was a great value. I would rate it a solid 4 out of 5 stars, and with a little more depth to the broth, it would easily be a five-star experience. We’ll definitely be back to give it another try!

Tasty pho in North Burnaby. They have a variety of pho, rice, vermicelli, and more.
I do find the soup a little sweet for my taste but it is very subtle and I think most will like.
They have a combo with a bowl of large pho with salad roll for $19.95, and it is pretty good.

First time at Pho Mr. Do and was overall impressed. Service was friendly and efficient. The #24 and #34 pho was delicious. Only minor complaint were the fried spring rolls were quite small for the price. Street parking in front after 6pm otherwise plenty of parking on side streets and parking lot near by. Would definitely return.

Excellent service!, the lady that was at the main area providing the menu, taking orders and doing all the work at the front, was so gentle and helpful, the food was delicious and all what we order came out perfect, the place is calm and very comfortable.

Ordered the beef noodle with beef ball for $19.45. I got 8 razor thin beef slices (1″x2″) and 3 piece of meatball which is less thang 1 meat mall cut up. Noodle portion was ok but how can you eat noodles with so little meat.
Correct me if I’m wrong but plain beef is not that expensive, I understand that overhead cost is up but that is also why the noodle price went up to around $20.

Large portions of delicious food. We tried lemongrass chicken and prawn platter, spring roll, salad roll, bahn mi, condensed milk coffee, and smoothies. Everything was fresh and flavourful. Quick and friendly service. The seating is comfortable and not overcrowded. Very clean everywhere, including the washroom.

Tammy is the loveliest host ever!! She has made my family and friends very welcome the two times we have been lucky enough to dine here. The food is so fresh and delicious! Her and her family care deeply about the meals they are preparing and you can taste that right in the food. The Chilli/ Garlic oil is worth going there for alone! The portions are great! The prices are great! This place is not to be missed. However make sure you don’t go to late as they close at 8pm…and you will be sad you missed them!!
