This place had the best pork egg rolls I have ever had. There was so much pork packed into these rolls and we’re absolutely delicious. The combination pho was some of the best pho I have eaten. The portions are quite generous and contained a good deal of meat. We also had the crispy pork belly pho which was great as well. Service is super friendly. Everything came out quickly.

If your traveling to see stillwater mn and want hmong/asain food this spot is a gem. It’s about 10 min drive from st. Croix River. So if your looking to visit stillwater and needing a place to dine in, this is the spot. We ended up getting boat noodle, special pho spring rolls, and fried rice/eggrolls to go.

The boat noodle broth was ok could use more flavor but the noodle to meat ratio for a small size was excellent. Price is decent for most dishes.

I wouldn’t mind coming back to try other dishes. Also there is plenty of parking and the venue is good size.

This is a very nice family-owned restaurant.
Staff was nice to us.
We ordered Mongolian Beef, Pho, and a spicy chicken dish.
The pho is very different than what I am used to. It almost tasted like an instant noodle *thai packaged ones.
It was packed with tons of protein.
It wasn’t bad. Very different though. Something you would just have to try for yourself.
The other 2 dishes were flavorful and very large orders, enough to feed 2 people.

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant but were very disappointed with the food. The appetizers lacked flavor and were extremely greasy, with visible oil pooling on the plates. Unfortunately, the main dishes were no better—fried rice and Pad Thai were bland and lacked seasoning, and even the sweet sauce seemed watered down. The pho was the only dish that was somewhat decent, but it didn’t make up for the overall poor food quality. On a positive note, the waitress, who seems to be the owner, provided excellent service and had a great personality, but sadly, the food fell far short of expectations.

Not even busy. Will not return. Highly Don’t Recommend.

FOOD:
The food I order was fine. I order the pho combo with crispy pork belly on the side. It was an ok amount of pho and meat. I was neither starving or full after finishing it. The pork belly was crispy and not burnt and had no flavor. Above average price. My brother got the boat noodle and according to him, his shrimp was overdone. It was worst shrimp he had ever had in his life.

SEVERICE:
Our host/waiter serve us water with little ice in it on this hot day. We had to ask for 2 cup full of ice and extra napkins. He didn’t check on us at all after serving our food and I needed a fork to scoop up my pho noodle because chopsticks can only go so far before you need one. I also didn’t get any water refills after I had finish my water. The men restroom ran out of hand soap when I went to go wash my hand before eating and I informed the host/waiter. It wasn’t refill even after I got done eating and need to wash my hand again.

ATMOSPHERE:
Hot day today and not even a fan or a/c on. It was not a comfortable temperature. I had to go cool down in the restroom and splash cold water on my face.

So disappointed. Ordered fried dumplings and Vietnamese egg rolls for my sick daughter. The “fried” dumplings are soggy and a gross color of brown, and the egg rolls have raw pork. Yuck! What a waste of money.

Called to express my concerns and rather than provide good customer service, they wanted to argue with me and tell me that I was wrong and wasn’t seeing what I was seeing (photos attached). Not the way to do business.

Edited to add: They then tracked down my personal business page 2 yrs later and left a 1 star review as revenge when they have never done business with me. How petty and unprofessional… wow.

Updated Review: I stop by MN Pho in Stillwater, MN today for lunch. Under new owners. Food was great. Really prefer this pho to the previous pho here. More menu items to choose from too. Met with the owner who was very pleasant and welcoming. Will definitely stop by again to try other dishes. Now when I crave hmong food I have a place to stop by for lunch.

If you are nearby or want to check this out, definitely recommend it.

Past Review: Had their deluxe coffee and vermicelli noodle salad. Spot on delicious and very flavorful.

Also had their combination pho. Very comforting for a cold day.

I’ve seen this place all the time when I go to Wendy’s next door. But the parking lot is always empty, so I wasn’t sure if they were open or not. Decided to try delivery first, before I decide to come dine in (for in case they weren’t open). We ordered chicken curry noodle soup, pad see ew, pad thai, and papaya salad. Everything tasted great and I love how they did not use baby shrimps (cost extra for shrimp) AND the shell and tail was peeled off the shrimps; I hate it when the shells and/or shrimp tails are left on the shrimps.

The chicken curry noodle soup wasn’t just chicken. I love that it also had shrimp and Asian meatballs. It came with bean sprouts, iceberg lettuce, lime wedge, and a very small amount of cilantro and green onion. I really wish it came with cabbage and not lettuce. And I wish there were more cilantro and green onion. There was a small side of chili oil, which I appreciate.

The pad see ew and papaya salad portions were very small. They taste great and the papaya salad was made with fresh pepper so it was spicy, but I wish they didn’t fill it with iceberg lettuce wedges on the side just to take up space. Should have given more papaya salad. In addition, cabbage would have been better instead of lettuce.

Pad thai was missing peanuts. The husband said maybe they left out the peanuts because so many people have nut allergy. But the dish would have been completed if it had peanuts.

Flavor with every dish was on point. Price is on the higher end and appetizers were not on the list for delivery. So we’ll have to try dining in next time so we can try their appetizers and other dishes. We spent almost $100 with this order of 4 entrée. Definitely not something we can afford to eat at often, but once in a while; unless you can afford it. We definitely will eat here again.

Absolute gem of a restaurant! Love the people who operate this place. Very polite and professional. There are lots of pho restaurants around the metro and only a few are worth me writing a review for, this is slowly becoming my favorite spot for their pho. The spring rolls are loaded and I’m very very picky about my fried rice, but this may be my favorite in town. I can eat here every day. Love this place!
