As a Vietnamese who have tried 20+ viet restaurants, I love the food here. Perfect spicy beed noodle, flavorful with subtle touch of spiciness. The tender beef with vermicelli is amazing. Bbq pork is a bit on the dry side. Love that I can communicate in my mother tongue language to the chef. Keep up the great work!

Paid $18 for what was advertised as beef but was mostly gristle and fat (photo attached). After one bite, I told the waitress it was inedible and asked if it was possible to swap it out. She said she’d check and eventually returned with a side of chicken but didn’t say anything. At checkout, the guy at the register (white guy, 20s, really deep voice) tried charging for both the beef and chicken, argued when told that we couldn’t eat the beef at all, then rolled his eyes and said “whatever” before taking $5 off. Being charged for food I couldn’t eat and treated with attitude over what seemed like a reasonable request was a really odd experience. Terrible food, worse service and communication.

the restaurant was pretty empty – we came around 2pm on a Tuesday, for reference. that meant we got a table immediately and the food didn’t take too long to be ready.
I ordered the #18 bún bò huế and the thai tea 🙂 the food had a nice amount of spice and was a good size for the price (the same as a large for some of the other dishes). the tea was more on the milky side, which isn’t bad, just a matter of preference. I would definitely have the noodles again but I might try a new drink next time.

I ordered lunch online and ended with way too much food! The chicken ban mi is very tasty. The roll shatters when you bite into it because it’s crispy on the outside. That’s a good thing. The egg roll spring rolls were not what I was expecting but they are delicious. Noodles wrapped in lettuce with a strip of fried pork, all wrapped in a soft spring roll wrappers. That in itself is a nice light lunch.

Ordered takeout and the egg rolls were more than 50% frozen on the inside.

At lunchtime, I ordered the beef pho with steak, brisket, flanks ($13 for small) and dined inside the restaurant. Most seating is indoors but there are also tables outside. My noodles were served quickly within 10 minutes of ordering by friendly staff. The pho had a delightful soup and the amount of meat was generous for the price and portion. The flank was a bit chewy for my tastes, I’d stick with just the brisket or steak next time. I was slightly taken aback by the noodles, as they unfortunately clumped together. Maybe this is just the style of pho in the area, as the noodles were of similar quality to other Vietnamese restaurants nearby. Overall, this is definitely a great local place I will be returning to and trying out more dishes!
EDIT: I came back to try the bahn mi ($6.50) and it was delicious, nicely toasted with fresh jalapeños and all the right fixings.
