The ingredients inside were pretty average overall. The meats were sliced very thin but cooked well. The noodles were standard, nothing bad but nothing special either. Again, the broth carried the bowl.
I also tried the spring rolls, both pork and prawn. The prawn ones were definitely better. They were quite standard in flavour, but the dipping sauce was much better than what I have had at other places. Even the hoisin and sriracha on the table tasted better than some other pho spots I have tried.
I went around 1:30pm and it was still packed, which says a lot. Overall, I was very happy with my visit. I ordered a medium bowl, but there were hardly any noodles inside. My friend ordered a large and got significantly more noodles, so I am not sure what is going on with the portion difference between medium and large. If the portion was a bit better, this would easily be a five for me.
– Service is always spot on, with a happy face.
– Fast service.
– I also needed to use the bathroom one time without buying food and the lovely staff let me in without hesitation unlike DHP around the corner. Thank you!
The floors could be cleaned more often as there were napkins all over the place and some tables were not cleared straight away.
Same menu, new pricing.
Ordered the Special Beef Noodle Soup again. This time, the dish had more toppings than the last visit and no fatty brisket pieces. The meats were still very thinly sliced. Broth is still good.
Now there is a small container of pickled onions at each table, rather than having to ask for it previously.
Last Visit:
Long way to travel for Pho. We were told that this was the bees knees of Pho.
Ordered 2x Special Beef Noodle Soup(Pho). Yes, the broth is good, it has good “body” and depth of flavour – the pho is good but the pho we have had in Richmond is good enough without the distance plus also like 15-20% more in quantity and quality is good enough. Admittedly – the broth here did have more “body”.
The raw beef, beef balls, tripe, tendon, brisket were sliced thinly versus chunks and thickly sliced at other places. Might look like a lot – described as generous by other reviewers but in fact, the overall dish is about 15-20% less in quantity with toppings and noodles – same price. Also, the brisket was a little fatty.
Service was friendly and quick. If you like pickled onions with your Pho – you’ll have to ask for it. Not offered unless requested.
We tried their signature phở (different combination) and crispy chicken rice. All of then were really yummy especially the phở (beef noodle soup). They were super tasty with lots of meats, sweet broth – big portion. The best phở (southern style) in the west for sure.
Good variety of dishes from their menu. You can check them out from my photos.
Not many tables as its not a big restaurant but service was ok. The food was served pretty quickly.
Open 7 days a week, 9am to 8pm. They get really busy especially during weekend so you may need to queue up for the table so be prepared.
Highly recommended!
