Decent amount of food for the price! The noodle soups are what one would expect at a Vietnamese pho spot. Service could be quicker, but the place also gets pretty packed.

This place was rated highly as best pho in San Jose so we got to try. We got beef pho and chicken vermicelli – thought they were good, not exceptional. The broth was good but super salty. Portions are huge though and that justified the price – they really load up on the noodles especially. We saw lots of tables that were waiting to be cleaned with good amount of food left uneaten

Helpful staff! They introduced us to the new dishes on the menu such as #39. The beef tasted amazing! My brother is handicapped and my dad runs a business a few stores down but Kim Long never disappoints on it’s service to prioritize us! One staff helped my handicapped brother pay for the food by taking our cash and ringing it up himself instead of inconveniently waiting in line. We always come here weekly since it’s right next to us. Great food and drinks! We definitely recommend.

If you love Pho, this place specializes in this Vietnamese specialty having an extensive menu on pho possible! Flavorful and generous portions. All the locals were there and loving it — it was a packed house! Service could be improved being more helpful in understanding the culture and the menu. A smile would go a long way. When it came time to pay, they directed our group of 5 to pay at the front counter and limited us to splitting the bill for the table into 2 maximum. We had originally mentioned each of us was on a separate check to our server, and they never once mentioned this limit of 2 for splitting the bill. Should have been more transparent. The counter person seemed annoyed by our request, and so we were forced to work it out amongst our group.

I had pho with chicken (#23). I got the regular size. Food was delicious and served quickly. The restaurant was quite full at that time.

I’ve loved PKL for so long. When I’m looking for pho in the South Bay, I come here.

I just come to San Jose and look for a Pho restaurant to eat. Last Friday, I stopped by and saw a long line waiting to dine in. I went back and thought the restaurant would have good dishes because it attracts many customers. Today I join the line and order N1 special Pho. And I am very disappointed. When I hold the bowl, I find out it is not clean. The outside has some stains and dirty, seem it is not well washed. I know that the restaurant is crowded and serves many people but I still feel bad about it. About the food, broth is ok, not good but not bad. The noodle is not pho, it is a type of vermicelli. I eat a lot of Vietnamese pho restaurants in the US and face the same issue. The owners explain that they need to adapt US taste, that’s why they use that type of noodle but I don’t agree that. If you ever try real Pho, you will notice it. I don’t know if they have any famous dish except Pho, but it doesn’t give me good impression.

Solid choice for pho. I also like the vermicelli dishes–tastes so fresh and the portions are massive for the price as well. Highly recommend. Parking is usually not an issue and wait is minimal.
