The waitresses and cooks were very nice to us. I had the Vegetable Pho, which was really good! They slow-simmer their own authentic broth for 10 hours and it results in a very flavorful, delicious pho. The owner, Spencer, stopped by our table to make sure everything was OK with our meal, and we had a really nice conversation. It’s so great to have such a good food option in Excelsior Springs!

The owner and staff are completely amazing. THE FOOD AND THE SAUCES: WOW better Asian I have ever had! The owner found out we just got married and gave us a free appetizer as a wedding gift! I feel like he’s the best person you could run into at an eating establishment because he says Happy New Year and a REALLY WARM welcome. Try all of these appetizers! They use top quality ingredients! I’m hooked. The picture does no justice. We already ate 3 appetizers!!!

This place is a no frills restaurant but food is amazing!! On the main drag in Excelsior Springs downtown. Spencer the owner came out and chatted with us. The Pho is amazing!

Finally! Some good food in Excelsior. The Bún Thit Nuong is available with grilled chicken, which is what I had. Tasty! The egg rolls were very flavorful too! We will be back.

Hands down some of the best food I’ve had!! We had the pork fried rice, egg rolls with fish sauce, crab rangoons, and chicken pho. Everything was so fresh and flavorful.
We met Spencer, a retired Navy veteran, who owns the place with his Vietnamese wife, Sam. They met over 50 years ago during the war and have been together ever since. These recipes belong to Sam’s family and have been passed down for generations. It’s about as authentic as you can get!!

My Wife and I were in town to buy a car and decided to eat lunch before heading home, We chose Pho House simply because of a lack of healthier options…..SO GLAD WE DID! The food and the service were absolutely amazing! The ingredients were fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. The staff was attentive, pleasant, and informative. What a great find in Excelsior Springs! We will definitely be stopping here again next time we come through.
