Mr. Beaver
I’ve been to a lot of pho places but this one’s up there in terms of greatness. Rich and clear soup with savory beef bits. Everything tasted very fresh! Would totally come back again.

We like this small family restaurant in a mall. It runs by a nice family. I think the mother is the chef? The other family members work in the front. They are all nice and friendly. The place is clean. They use tea bag in a pot if you asking for tea.
The food and the price are good.
I like the curry chicken in a clay pot the most (item 14). You can choose rice or bread to go with your curry. The herbs in the curry are make it special. Since it has big portion of curry booth, I can add more veggies and meat into it for one more meal at home.
The other food is nice as well.
They put the menu outside of the shop. You can take a look first.
If you are in this area, this is a good choice for you.
Since I forgot taking the pictures before I started to eat, the portion of the grilled chicken is more.

Small cozy pho restaurant I went to during my lunch break. Loved how they posted the menu outside the restaurant so walk-ins can decide what to order before walking in. Owner was super friendly and very accommodating. I just ordered my usual brisket pho and it was delicious, noodles were fresh, bean sprouts were fresh and meat was juicy. Would come here again!

We went for lunch after checking out the nearby thrift store and bakery in Ladner.
The atmosphere is typical and expected of Vietnamese restaurant in a strip mall.
Overall, I would suggest to stick with the soup as it was very good, but the other items we tried were not as good.
We ordered three items: Vietnamese chicken wings, Bahn mi sandwich, and bun bo hue soup.
The wings and Bahn mi were both lackluster, but the soup was good!
The chicken wings were overcooked and a bit dried out. I suspect the wings are par fried or pre cooked and then finished and sauced when ordered. The reason I suspect this is the wings came out very quickly and there is no way they could have been fried from raw in that time. Anyway the wings, while warm when we got them were a bit overcooked.
The Bahn mi sandwich had fresh veggies but the meat (grilled pork) was a bit too grilled for its thickness and was a bit like jerky. There was very little sauce/mayo and no pate (a usual part of a Bahn mi) so it made for an overall dry sandwich.
Finally, the Bun Bo Hue was hot, spicy, full of flavour and had very generous amounts of meat and noodle! We were not disappointed with the soup and would recommend sticking with the soups if you go to Pho Haven!

Excellent pho! Really surprised at the quality and quantity of the food. There is such a delicious and unique Vietnamese restaurant on this historic Xiaoqin.
Fresh ingredients, no MSG in the food they say, reasonably good service, soup taste deep and clean, good portion We’ll definitely be back and will recommend.

Broth is average. Noodle is softer than most restaurants. (Almost breaking as you pick it up with chopsticks.) Also tried the peanut spicy soup base, it was interesting, but gets too rich after half a bowl. Food was ready quickly.

Everything here is fantastic. The sandwiches are delicious, the bread is light and crunchy, the pickled vegetables and meat choices are really well prepared.

The pho broth is probably the best I’ve had from the local options, and the toppings are very generous if you like cilantro and onion.

The staff are super friendly too! I would definitely recommend trying the food here.

Tried Pho Haven for lunch today. Surprisingly, under new ownership, formerly pho tastic. Has been open for about 1 month but no signage up yet. Pleasantly surprised. New menu has way more options, staff very attentive. Met the owner’s brother, who was very pleasant young man. We had the vermacelli grilled pork and spring roll, grilled pork bun (sandwich), and vegetable/tofu salad roll. Had to take the second roll home as I wasn’t expecting 2 per order..nice surprise! Hubby really enjoyed his vermacelli meal and 1/2 of one salad roll, hey, I share!
Will be back to try the pho next time!
