20260101 So excited to find Hai Duong!! After they sold their Springfield location. As it turned out Tysons and Annandale locations are the same owner, and the Springfield location was his sister in law’s who owns 3 other locations. The pho was delicious, perfect for 20 degree weather. The Roasted Quails were good, a little sweet, but it left an after taste, which could be from the sodium? The owner and waiter were real nice! There are so many dishes on the menu that I want to try, and I actually like the menu at this location better than hks sister in law’s former Springfield location. I took home 2 leftover roasted Quails, and my extremely finicky pup liked it!! There other pup is even more finicky, and she didn’t want any.Oh, I like how their drinks are served in carryout containers. I didn’t finish my Vietnamese ice coffee, and I just walked out with it. I was excited to try the Pennywort drink, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a popular item, and they removed it from the menu. Same with the tri color bean with coconut milk that they no longer sell.

I found this restaurant, just a couple of blocks from my hotel. It was absolutely packed during lunchtime. I ordered the Canh chua (Vietnamese, sweet and sour) soup with shrimp. It was amazing. It’s very hard to find this soup in Vietnamese restaurants so when I do, I always order it. I saw the other dishes coming out – pho and fresh spring rolls – and it all looked great. I also had the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was fantastic. The servers were very busy, but also attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Pho Hai Duong is officially one of my new go-to spots. The service was excellent…friendly, fast, and on point the entire time. I got #3 and it was delicious: rich, flavorful broth, tender steak, and perfectly cooked noodles. The spring rolls were fresh, tasty, and just the right texture.

Huge bonus: it’s an Asian restaurant that actually plays music. The vibe was relaxed and modern, which made the whole experience even better.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want great Vietnamese food with great energy. Ask for Jason, he took great care of us!!

The food lacked flavor and tasted very bland. I ordered three different types of rolls and two large bowls of pho, one with extra meat. The rolls were passable, but the pho broth lacked depth, and the meats were dry, flaky, and carried an unpleasant smell. It seemed as though the meat had been refrigerated or frozen in bulk and then thawed, which likely caused the poor texture and taste. Overall, not the worst experience, but certainly far from the best.

I love the food from this restaurant! It’s always clean, and the portion sizes are decent . We ordered the grilled pork with vermicelli, noodle soup, fried rice, and shaky beef — all consistently delicious and satisfying. We definitely will come back.

Love this place! Came here for lunch on 12/24, and the customers were steady. I had the lemongrass chicken which was very good, lots of chicken and rice. Hot condiments were on the table to spice it up. Good prices. I will definitely be back to try the pho, which a lot of people were ordering and looks amazing. Exceptionally clean and uncluttered, lots of space around the tables.

After working in Vietnam for some time, got so tired of pho. But after a couple years of abstinence, started to enjoy pho again at Pho Hai Duong’s shop in Annandale.

So I was happy when they opened up another location in Vienna a few minutes from our home. We don’t get to eat out as much so we order to go more often. But the owner is a really nice guy that runs both locations, so I hope you can meet him if you ever go.

Pho, Bahn Xeo, Bun Bo Hue and Summer Rolls. Their Pork Chop on rice, Rice Vermicelli and Clay Pot dishes are also so good.

A lot of authentic Vietnamese variety here. Love it. And so glad Danny started managing this location since early last year. Can really tell the difference in the whole operation of the place, from the food and to the service.

And I prefer Pho in the States more than Vietnam.

We can count on this restaurant for good Pho, especially its Pho Hai Duong Dac Biet with all meat toppings and Bun Bo Hue, a spicy beef noodle soup. Last time, we tried our usual with Bi Cuon, rolls wrapped with shredded pork, lettuce, and rice vermicelli, which was good. We tried Com Chien Bo Luc Lac, which has shaky beef cubes with fried rice that is also tasty. Certain items on the menu are never available, such as Rau Ma Tuoi (Pennywort juice). The restaurant is decorated with Vietnamese paintings and dark wood furniture; a chandelier is a centerpiece on the ceiling, and the restaurant is always clean and tidy. Service can be improved to make the whole experience better.

Had a nice bowl of Pho tonight. I had my go to Pho Bo Vien. The broth was tasty and not too salty. It was mild so you could add your desired level of heat. I had to ask for some additional limes which is normal for me.

There were plenty of brisket and meatballs. There were plenty of veggies and oodles of noodles too. If you are looking for a nice bowl of pho look no further. Plus it was an easy walk from my hotel too bonus for that.
