Had the chance to eat at Pho Ginger the other day and I’ll start off by saying that the service is outstanding and super friendly. I was most impressed by the young man who served me, he seemed genuinely concerned about making sure I was taken care of.

Foodwise, I ordered bo bun hua, It was a deep beef broth based soup. Unfortunately, they use a shrimp paste that I did not like in the overall flavor profile. The noodles were spaghetti size, with tender brisket and a a side bowl of veggies. I also ordered the beef spring rolls, which were of a good size but I did not like texture of the beef which was dry and crispy.

Overall, it was a nice restaurant experience and I can’t emphasize how kind the service was.

Very good food. The bowl portions were not very big, or I would give it five stars. Great for vegetarians. Extremely clean place. They even put new paper table covers on the table top for each customer.

Very polite and timely service. The restaurant was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a good view of the nearby mountains. I had the Pad Thai. I had heard much about this dish and this was my first time trying it. It was a generous portion and the flavors were outstanding. The dishes my wife and daughter tried were great as well. Overall, this was a great dining experience.

This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Albuquerque, without a doubt. My family and I have been several times and the food is always amazing and consistent.

We usually get pho or pho ginger but I recently learned about bun bo hue (spicy beef noodles) and was excited to see they had it. The broth was incredibly flavorful and rich, and had a nice level of spicy. My son got Pho ginger on the most recent visit and it was amazing as usual, plus they know how to prepare tripe correctly. My daughter loves their strawberry smoothie and says one of the best smoothies she’s ever had. My husband got number 23 and the pork fillet no joke was one of the best preparations of pork I’ve had in a very long time.

Extremely reasonably priced, 4 main dishes, 2 orders of egg rolls, 1 order of shrimp rolls, a smoothie, coke and tea for $88. Very few places anymore you get so much food for such a reasonable price.

Plus, the woman on 10/18 mid day who was our waitress is so sweet and friendly. I wish I asked her name, but she was truly attentive and so nice.

And, you get an amazing view of the mountains while you’re eating. Truly one of the best places to eat in Albuquerque.

Everywhere I go, Pho is a staple.

I searched for best Pho in Albuquerque and I wasn’t disappointed.

I ordered their house special Pho Ginger. The broth was packed with flavor. And it hit the spot.

The food is consistently excellent, and every time I go in the people who work here are very nice and friendly! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and a separate section of the menu for vegetarian dishes. Their tofu is perfect texture! There are lots of good Vietnamese restaurants in Albuquerque and this is my favorite.

Amazing!! Such a fantastic hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Everything I’ve eaten from here has been delicious. I usually get stuck in a rut with places I frequent & always order the same thing, but here I look forward to coming back & trying something new each time. Everyone that works here is always kind & attentive. The mural on the wall gives me Lisa Frank meets realism vibes. This is definitely a restaurant I would be really sad to lose — so bring your friends & family to support this awesome local business!

I really wanted to love this restaurant, but the pho was substandard. The broth was very oily and under spiced. I ordered a large and it was a big bowl, but only half filled with less meat and noodles than most bowls of pho come with. Maybe they don’t toast their spices or add enough. I also had some pork springrolls and they were the smallest, chewiest, most under-filled spring rolls I’ve ever had. Very sad.

Our server, a young man, was very kind and attentive which was nice.

My friend, who I admit, is very picky, couldnt eat his rice plate with pork because the meat was so chewy and fatty. The portion was quite sad too.

I guess we’ll stick with Basil Leaf.

They are always friendly, the food comes out quickly, and tastes fantastic everytime. I get the shaken beef on almost every visit, the mushrooms melt in your mouth and the savory flavor is so good.
The namesake pho ginger is a great option as well.

So we tried the family-style options at Pho Ginger and it was pretty darn good! It’s hard to find great family-style Vietnamese food options in Albuquerque but Pho Hinger certainly hit the mark. Service was great and they constantly had our water filled. Well definitely be back.
