Saturday afternoon looking for Pho place in Connecticut and found this place on Google map. It’s not like the Vietnamese restaurants in New York, but the taste is as good. The portion is big (the waiter did warn us the portion was good for sharing). The shrimp’s color was a bit redder than normal, but it tasted good because it’s flesh. The calamari is different but very good too.
It’s a place that you can enjoy Vietnamese food and don’t have to drive to New York (you know what I mean if you have to go on to I95 )

NEW MANAGMENT, NEW CHEFS, NEW RECIPES (as of 5/6/23) We ate at the new Pho Fans on opening night. Every dish we ordered was delicious. This new version of Pho Fans is 100% worth a try. Got a Banh Mi sandwich for lunch the next day it was packed with flavor and nice and spicy. Try the Papaya Salad too!!!

We really enjoyed this newer restaurant in Darien. We have been doing take-out and decided to sit in. Service, food & drinks all excellent. Large and fresh food portions .

So excited about this delicious new restaurant in Darien with highly authentic Vietnamese food! First off, they have a fun and tasty cocktail menu. Great for weekend brunch!! Next, their food is made with quality, fresh ingredients. Their appetizers are delicious – i really love their summer rolls and peanut sauce – and their pho noodle soup hit the spot in a way I have yet to duplicate in Fairfield County. Warm, delicious, fragrant. I can’t wait to be back and try their Banh Mi!

We had takeout here and liked our meal. The chicken broth was very flavorful and the portions big.

Ordered last night for the first time under the new management. Unfortunately prices have increased and quality had decreased. The Pho was still decent and they’ve added some interesting options but the pork spring rolls are dense and less flavorful, plus you now only get two of them instead of four. We also tried the shrimp tempura which was chewy and lacked any flavor. Pork Banh Mi was also disappointing compared to what it was previously. We will give them another shot in a few weeks and update the review if things change but pretty disappointed as we’ve loved this place since they originally opened.

When I jumped online to review this brand new restaurant I realized that the reviews below are from the old STEAM restaurant, which is now gone. Pho Fans opened today and has been completely renovated with a new menu. There was a lot of excitement in the place, which was great to see. The new interior is clean and bright, the staff was warm and friendly, and most importantly the food was great! I frequently order delivery from another well known area pho shop, and while that is good, this was better in that it tasted fresher and cleaner, with a homemade feeling. The trick with any go to local spot is consistency, so let’s see how they do. Also doesn’t hurt that it is a family owned business, which I love to see, and is great for the town.

A comfortable, stylishly decorated place serving scrumptious food. I can’t vouch for the pho as I haven’t tried it yet, but all the dishes I’ve tried so far have been fancy, flavorful and quite unique. The papaya salad, for example, has a surprising twist that makes it the best Vietnamese papaya salad around. Some might consider it somewhat of a “fusion” Vietnamese restaurant, but it is a wonderful place to have lunch or dinner with a date, friends, co-workers or family. The atmosphere is warm, and the service friendly and professional. Prices are quite reasonable for the location and freshness/quality of the food. Definitely a keeper!
