For being the only Vietnamese food place around here, the food was great. Service is a little slow and it can take “pho ever” to get your food when it’s busy, but it was still a good experience. If you’ve never had Vietnamese before, you need to give it a try.

I went grand opening day, so of course they were busy. It took me a few minutes to be seated, but I could clearly see all of the staff was in a hurry & taking care of other things. They got to me as soon as they possibly could. The pho was the largest bowl I had ever been served locally. It was hot and flavorful, the toppings were fresh, and SO delicious! I’m going to be a regular for sure. Love having Vietnamese food in OTX!

So first and last time going here. Me and wife love Pho. Mama Kim’s and Sweet basil have been our go to, but the drive is a bit far from Orange so when this place opened up we were excited! Upon first entering, it took almost 10 minutes for us to be greeted. We were asked to sit anywhere we like, Which all the tables were dirty. The host or waitress, then proceeded to clean the table, but failed to wipe it down and still left us standing in the front. By myself went and grabbed a rag and spray bottle and cleaned the table. We ended up ordering the pork eggrolls, the beef Pho fries and The fried dumplings. The pork eggrolls, however, ended up coming out like spring rolls and they had a fishy, Frozen taste to them. We then decided to try out the fries, which ended up just being some mayo and ketchup mixed together, throwing with some bland pieces of steak on top. The dumplings were OK, but you can tell they were frozen then fried nothing in my opinion was prepared fresh. Although they serve cans of soda because of the ice they use, it tasted flat and their water tasted chlorinated. As our main course, we decided to try the rice with the ribeye steak. The best thing of the night was the rice. It definitely had flavor. Unfortunately our steak came out cold and our waitress did throw it back on the grill or pan and it came out hot. Me and my wife both decided out out of a rating of 10 we gave it a 2. We will not be returning Pho Ever!!!

It did take awhile for anyone to address me when I went to pick up a to go order. It really wasn’t that busy either. I left with my food and didn’t realize until I got back to work that they forgot my sushi. However, they did call me back to let me know they forgot to put it in the bag and were very apologetic. They offered to make everything right. I was really impressed with this because literally no other restaurant would have called anyone back like that. They usually just shrug it off or wait for the customer to come back and complain. They were on top of it before I even had a chance to complain.

As a Pho connoisseur, the Vietnamese dishes at Phoever was flavorful and rich! The family-organized restaurant was clean and the service was timely. Highly recommend their Pho and will definitely return soon
