Chill spot in a strip mall with late hours serving Vietnamese staples, plus beer, wine & bubble tea.

Pretty solid and reliable pho spot in East Van. One of the better seafood phos around. Has all the fixings and delicious broth, comes out fast too. I preffer seafood but chicken is always a classic too. Outside of the food good service as well. Big difference maker is staying open late night! No better comfort food

The reviews here are very mixed. I decided to give it a shot.
There’s plenty of parking everywhere.
The restaurant inside is big and very clean. Decor is up to date as well.
I ordered the hot and sour seafood pho.
To my surprise it was absolutely delicious and very comforting. My friend ordered the bun bo hue. We asked for a red chili each and it was perfect!
Service is strange though.
As soon as I went up to pay, the girl didn’t give my 60 cent change back. I was grabbing more change out of my pocket to tip of course, but she then asked me how much did you pay again?
Wow I could’ve gotten away with saying I paid with a 50 dollar bill .
Anyhoo, those two items we ordered are delicious. I think the small sizes are plenty

This place used to be good but they are now taking advantage on the fact that it’s so close to PNE / Playland … it is now overpriced. Stickers on the menu reflecting the new prices.
Soup dishes have changed, they’re smaller at the base. Less chicken on the rice dishes.
Less food, higher prices.

We were looking for a place for dinner after PNE, and since this place is close by, we decided to give it a shot. The broth of my chicken pho is mild, but my companions’ beef broth are more flavorful. The biggest turn-off was the rice noodle was still stuck together when the soup came, and it tasted starchy, a bit stale. All in all: a “meh” meal.

Friendly staff, delicious food. Left very happy and full. I got the Sautéed Vegetables with Tofu in Spicy Coconut Curry with rice, and it was so tasty. My partner also enjoyed his Hot and Sour Seafood Soup. They are conveniently located directly across from the Atrium Hotel. Would definitely recommend and would go back here 🙂

Walked in on Easter Sunday shortly after noon, and the place was empty save for three other tables. We ordered a couple banh mi’s (pork and beef) and the spicy chicken wings.
Despite the few tables, service was slow. The food was fine, but the spicy chicken wings were spicy at all.
The restaurant felt dirty in general, tables and floor were sticky, and food bits left on the table. With competition so close by, not worth returning.

A straightforward Vietnamese restaurant that serves delicious food. I tried the half boneless duck, and it was pretty good. Some pieces were a little dry, though they do give a generous portion of a side sauce alongside to dip or mix (had peanut sauce). I also ordered the strawberry blend drink, and it was, of course, very fresh and tasty. The staff here are polite and friendly and periodically check up on their tables. I also like the fact that this restaurant is open until 1am, which gives people a nice option for a late night or an after-work meal.

It was a bad day because I was so hungry that I ordered food and got the wrong food. The staff said they would change it but I was not feeling good. But the taste was very delicious.

Located on Hastings St in East Vancouver, Pho Don is a great late night pho spot. The seafood fried rice was surprisingly my favorite. Open late and easily accessible from Hastings Street. Spacious seating. Recommended.

Our group of 3 had dinner here after being at the PNE down the street! Had the #14 Grilled Pork with Crispy Spring Roll on Vermicelli. The grilled pork was well-marinated and flavourful. The spring rolls were hot and crispy, and the bowl itself was filled with ample vermicelli and vegetables! Could barely finish the $18.75 meal, which is a good indication of the portions!
Price point average for dinner. The restaurant had a steady stream of customers inside. There’s parking in the small lot that serves the businesses, although you can find street parking in the area (may be more difficult with the PNE open, though). Would be open to returning!
