Reviews
The pho here has a truly authentic broth, fragrant and with a deep flavour. Came with perfectly cooked noodles, tender beef, fresh herbs and the seasoning was just right. Tastes like the real thing from my home country.
What really impressed me was the attentive, considerate service. Staff were warm, checked in at the perfect moments, remembered our preferences, and made sure everything was spot-on without ever hovering. Even refilled the ice in our drink when requested.
5/5 – highly recommend!
Their pho broth was bland and the rice noodles were rough not silky.
The grilled pork in Grilled Pork with Clear Rice Noodles was dry and hard. The clear rice noodles were stuck together made it very difficult to eat.
The only positive thing about that dish is serving was big. The grilled pork covered the whole bowl but at the end of the day quality over quantity.
We ordered Stuffed Boneless Chicken Wing for entree. You only get 1 piece for $10. The stuffing was dry, same problem with the grilled pork. The stuffed chicken wing came with a Thai sweet chilli sauce was very unauthentic, fish sauce would be more appropriate.
Food price was on a high side. They charge $20 for an ordinary bowl of noodle.
It seems they are running a family business as a little boy took our order without any smile on his face. He was probably thinking why all his friends were playing outside on a Saturday but he got stuck in his parents’ shop serving customers. The younger teenage girl brought out the food was more polite with a professional manner.
They don’t advertise hot green tea or jasmine tea but it is available.
Family run restaurant it was full tables all the 3 lunch times I was there. Good sign when you see local Vietnamese customers there.
Service seemed to only care about the takeouts and perhaps their regulars, I did not find it friendly at all. Well don’t think I’ll be back so will never make that cut.
It’s soup is fine, however it lacks the full flavour of a rich laksa, it also lacks the punch of a good chilli hit.
There’s chilli and hoisin sauces on the table.
The laksa, as do the pho, come with a bowl of extra sprouts, herbs, mint, basil and a wedge of lemon.
The vietnamese pancake is a large flavoursome delight with prawns and sprouts nestled in its folds. It’s served with a bowl of lettuce leaves and fresh mints.
Pho is worth a visit. Service is friendly and attentive,
And it’s in the heart of Dickson.
