Tried Pho Diner in Pasadena, MD and everything was fantastic. The mango shrimp salad was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the fish sauce chicken wings were absolutely addictive. The bún bò Huế had a bold, rich broth with great spice, and the pho was comforting and perfectly done. Even the spring rolls were super fresh.

First time here recently for lunch—inside decor is beautiful and bougie looking, not what I was expecting for a pho place! There’s even a full bar!
Started off with Gỏi Cuốn (fresh spring rolls) which were okay and oddly did not have any pork, just shrimp. My friend and I both got the Bún Riêu Cua Dồng (tomato based vermicelli noodle soup with crab meat)—the broth lacked flavor, we had add extra seasoning/sauce to make it more flavorful, and also, there was not a lot of crabmeat (riêu) itself but lots of additional toppings that I did not think was necessary. The Bùn Thịt Nướng Chả Giò (vermicelli with grilled pork and crispy spring roll) was pretty good! Got the Phở Dena Special (beef noodle soup) to go and ate it the next day—broth was well flavored and decent amounts of beef/noodles.
Service here was great—even got a chance to say to the owner Frank. And good variety of dishes on their menu!

The place is super clean, modern, and welcoming ✨ The food is fresh and delicious — the pho broth is flavorful and the portions are generous Staff are friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better However, its kinda pricey compare to another Vietnamese restaurant in DMV. I wasn’t a fan of the food. It was lacking flavors and spices in the chicken. The pho was alright but I’ve definitely had way better at other places. The broth didn’t have any depth or flavors it was pretty watery. I can’t speak for dishes I didn’t have, maybe those are the dishes that have this place so highly rated but my experience didn’t match the reviews.

Wanted soup so I chose to have Pho for the first time- so happy it was at Pho Dena! Who seemed to be the owner was so welcoming and kind, our waitress was happy to help us choose which option I’d like best and she was right! Will be returning for your assistance- here are before and after PHOtos

I don’t know what happen with this place. Used to good and serve a good amount of veggies but i gave this place 3 times. 3 times i was here recently, the vegetable for 2 bowls all came out like this. I paid $20 for food and received like this. Never come back!

I order from this place at least once a week as of late, and have been adoring the Vegan Pho. What really stood out was the thick noodles and fresh tofu— not many places around here have that.
The only thing is—today the pho came with the thin noodles and the tofu seems to have changed I’m really hoping this isn’t a permanent switch, as that was one of my primary reasons for choosing this place over others in the area. Everything else is superb tho!

Beautiful interior but with the absolute worst tasting food. The worst I have had in all of DMV, and we’ve been to many. Not representative of Vietnamese cuisine! Very embarrassing actually. Such a shame too, because the place looked clean and the decor was trendy. I want to mention, there is no fault to the servers. Even though they were young (probably high school) they were polite and friendly boys. Again the worst pho and meat skewers. Wasted $60.

Finding hair in your food is unacceptable. Finding it in soup and telling us not to come back makes it worse.
I was dining here with my cousin and midway through her bowl of pho she found hair in the soup. That immediately killed our appetite. They initially offered to take half off the meal, claiming she had eaten half already. Finding it “halfway through” does not make it acceptable. This is a liquid dish. You cannot see everything right away.
A customer finding hair in their food is not an inconvenience to the restaurant. It is a sanitation failure. They then said they would comp it, but followed that by telling us not to come back again.
That shows a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service.
Mistakes happen but how you handle them is what matters and poor customer service is a choice. There was no sincere apology and unacceptable how they handled a food safety issue. This will gladly be the last time I go there and I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Immediately Disguised!!
