I never knew this place was here. Us gal decided to meet up after our gym workout.

I cannot comment much on the decor; I just walked straight to the patio area when I arrived at location. Outdoor seating can accommodate large party. Also they have a fireplace just in case customers need to get warmed up.

Ordered:
My friends seemed to enjoy their food; they emptied their plates. I had spring rolls and they satisfied my tummy.

Service:
Our waitstaff was cordial and speedy. She brought everything to us in a timely manner.

My vermicelli bowl was very good. They were out of a few items on the menu, so people I ate with had to choose many items before there was an item available that they liked. There was very watered down/no soap in the bathroom?

Five stars across the board for this place! We were having a gathering with old friends while my daughter was in town and we knew there would be 10 to 15 people there depending on who could make it. We used to always get together at Souplantation because of the variety of food choices and they had a back room we could get together in but since they’re closed we had to choose someplace different. We threw around some various ideas and wanted to find a place close to one person because she has a disabled daughter and it’s harder for her to get out and go places. Everybody agreed that we all love Vietnamese food and someone suggested this place. I recognized the name as I have heard it for years and years through Yelp reviews and pictures so we decided to go here. In the pictures it looked spacious and like we could push tables together which is exactly what happened. It took about an hour for everybody to congregate because some people are perpetually late but those of us who were there on time enjoyed our drinks and conversation while we waited. Everyone got something different and everyone was extremely happy with their food from the 4 year olds up to the Grammies. The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable everything was immaculately clean with good quality food, etc. Personally I had the Basil Shrimp Vermicelli and it was perfect for a warm weather meal. One daughter ordered egg rolls to share and they were delicious and crispy. One got a sandwich and a couple got Pho. Several of us got drinks including my Vietnamese coffee. We had no complaints about anything. I highly recommend to anyone, including large groups. We were having such a good time I completely forgot to take photos except some we had taken at the end and the waitress was very nice to take some for us. We ended up with 13 people total.

Food was good, with large portions! Service was slow.

We ordered drinks that didn’t arrive until after we paid (and had removed them from the bill already).

The veggie spring rolls had very flavorful tofu with lettuce and rice noodles.

Great pho at the Mission Valley Pho Ca Dao location! We enjoyed the N2 filet mignon & Vietnamese meatballs pho and N4 brisket, flank, fatty brisket, tendon, tripe pho. Accommodating servers and the food comes out quickly. Dog friendly. Recommend!

This is the first time we’ve been. They allowed us to bring our dog in and we sat in the back. The vegetarian rice rolls and vegetarian soup and the shrimp soup and Bobba Tai Tea are delicious! Noah, our server is super nice and accommodating. The place is very clean, they play good music and there is plenty of parking. We will definitely come back.

The water rotation was INSANE! 3 people filled our waters up. Ngl I’m so impressed with them. But the food was pretty gas as well. But I got no idea what was in my food. But yk it it what it is.

Alr chat, it took 4.5 minutes for her to fill up my water. Shout out Eddy

TLDR: The interior space is well-decorated but the staff and menu items need to be improved.
The space is clean and inviting. However, the staff need to work on their attentiveness to guests and ensure that all orders are brought to the table as requested. They stayed at the front of the restaurant a majority of the time and it was difficult to get their attention without getting up from the table. My extended family members and I ordered a bit of everything from the menu. Beverages were brought out first, food arrived after fifteen minutes or so, one main dish was was missing until I mentioned it to the waiter, we asked for dessert to go since we felt that the food was mediocre. The noodle soups on the menu seemed to have the same soup base. The Phở and Bún bò Huế broths tasted the same. Neither having the distinct depth flavor we are used to compared to other restaurants that specialize in making them. I went a second time and ordered the Bánh canh aka Seafood Udon Noodle Soup. Based on the soup flavor, I confirmed the soups here are mostly if not the same with subtle tweaks. I wish the menu item had fresh seafood instead of imitation crab meat. The Soda xí muội was refreshing with a hint of salt. The Virgin Mojito was okay. I loved that the beverage was packed with stems of fresh mint but it would be better if the leaves were muddled a bit so that the mint shined through.

seriously some of the best Vietnamese food in SD!! We got the C8 Classic Broken Rice w/ chicken and I believe the B7 Grilled Pork & Crispy Egg Roll Noodle Salad Bowl. Had enough for leftovers. Service was good. Will be returning!

No one working is particularly paying attention to the guests. Third time I got to go food and the order was once 45 minutes late and twice missing items. No one has ever been at the host stand when I arrive, but are often standing and chatting near the bar/kitchen window. On top of the poor service and no attention to detail is an issue that their phone goes straight to a voice mailbox that is not set up and there is no way to get in contact with them except for in person. So if you leave there is no way to fix the problem remotely. Portions seem to have gotten smaller yet prices are the same.
