My partner and I have gone to this place many many times. Affordable and delicious pho, especially the chicken pho! I also really love their garlicky fried rice. One time I was not very hungry, my partner ordered a pho. I asked for a side soup which was free (hot tea, corn tea and side soup is free). Then they asked if we wanted extra noodles with the side soup for $4. For $4 it was basically another serving of pho! the portion was huge. They are really generous. The normal pho itself is so affordable. Service is also really good, very friendly staff, you can see a lot of locals come here and enjoy. Always busy when we go. This is one of our goto spots out west.

The best Vietnamese restaurant in Auckland! The food is absolutely delicious — full of flavor, authentic, generous in portion sizes, and very reasonably priced.
We dined here today for my husband’s birthday, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with cheerful smiles and a warm welcome from the staff. The service was impressively fast and efficient.
We ordered a variety of appetizers including wontons, spring rolls (both deep-fried and fresh), stir-fried noodles, and fried chicken. For the mains, we had their famous pho — we tried both the beef wonton and seafood versions, and they were outstanding! We also loved the iced coffee — so refreshing and perfectly balanced.
What really sets Pho Bien apart is not just the incredibly delicious food, but also the exceptional service. The staff are genuinely attentive and always smiling, making you feel right at home. The owner even gave my niece complimentary cookies, which was such a sweet gesture! There was also no corkage fee for the cake we brought, and they kindly offered to keep it refrigerated. They even played a birthday song so we could all sing and celebrate together — we truly appreciated that thoughtful touch.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. We will definitely be coming back and recommending Pho Bien to all our friends and family. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday meal so special! 🙂

Absolutely loved the food at this Vietnamese restaurant! The food was fresh, authentic, and full of flavour. The soup was rich and aromatic, and the wontons, chicken, omelette and vegetables were perfectly fresh and crisp. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A great place to enjoy a delicious meal with family or friends. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Food is average, decent range. Service was disappointing, maybe a lack of experience and inattentive. Food was served while the waitress was holding her own food that she was munching on.
Tables are sticky in between customers, they do minimum work to clean up. Seating arrangement is tight, cramped and on an uncomfortable hard wooden chairs.
