I got the braided ginger chicken. The sauce is not too sweet or salty like some places which I like. The chicken is sweet, spicy, and ginger forward. I love th boldness of it. The rice was on the harder and dry side. The chicken was dry and overcooked. It wasn’t warm either.

Down the street the other PHO place was super busy….then i came over here it was my first take out order…it was SO GOOD. Not sure what was the issue….our food came out but it took cashier a while to gather all the PHO ingredience. I saw a family came in sat and waited .when i left they still havent taken their order. There was a young girl that helped take my order….she disappeared. Over all food was great. We had to eat it at the hospital it was still hot and delish. Glad i didnt eat and the first spot. The fried spring rolls were fantastic. Cant wait to go again.

A fantastic place. We ordered Vegan Pho and Shrimp vermicelli bowl. They were both delicious and extremely healthy. Store’s ambience is nice. Staff is polite, friendly and customer service is excellent. There was no wait time even if they were extremely busy. They were very efficient in seating us and taking orders. Indoor and outdoor seating was available. Location is fantastic as it’s right in the heart of Palo Alto downtown at University avenue. This is my goto place for Pho. Plenty street parking available at under 5 min walking distance. I would go back there for all my Pho needs!

Solid place to get Vietnamese food. It’s definitely a little cheaper than Pho Ha Noi down the street, but it’s also not as fancy. The food is still good though and I like how they have many classic Vietnamese dishes.
I like to get their Vietnamese pate pork banh mi. My partner likes their popcorn chicken. I also like their grilled pork with rice. And recently we ordered their grilled chicken and it was surprisingly good too
I also like that this place’s usually not too busy for dinner so you can usually sit wherever and order fast. They serve food pretty fast. We waited less than 10 minutes when we ordered 3 entrees and 1 appetizer. I also like how they have a utensils box at the table so you don’t need to flag down a waiter for a spoon or fork. Also they make the water so fancy here! They give water in a large mason jar with citrus and add citrus and cucumber to the water cups. I like that touch. It makes the water feel fancy.
Also want to mention they auto-add a 10% service charge on the bill.
The inside feels new and clean. I think they’ve redone the restaurant a bit because I don’t remember it being like this before, but I really like their new decor. It feels modern and warm.
Parking: There are many parking garages in Palo Alto so it’s not too hard for us to find parking

Healthy food for sure. I was visiting Palo Alto and stop for lunch. I had sea food Pho. The soup is huge and all ingredients are fresh and delicious.

Tldr: everything is just okay here (both food and service). The safest option to eat is Pho (at least I didn’t feel like I wasted money on pho).
The restaurant decoration is pretty nice and cute. I liked it. We sat right next to the window so we got a nice view. I expected service to be better than a typical Vietnamese restaurant because of where this restaurant is but it’s pretty much the same. Servers are not friendly or super helpful.
We ordered 1 special pho, 3 different vermicelli bowls (#44 special, #47 fish cake and shrimp, #46b vegan).
– Pho was decent, the broth was flavorful and they used the type of noodle I like.

PHO SURE! Perfect on a cold day! I popped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken pho—the broth was flavorful and the chicken very lean. The portion sizes are perfect and the prices very reasonable. They have a great selection of pho, banh mi and lots of appetizers. I love that they serve you water with cucumber as soon as you sit down. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The place is really clean too. I will definitely be back.

We had a difficult time finding food without added sugar in it. We were told the grilled chicken banh mi did not have sugar, but the mustard sauce that came on it (even after we asked for no sauce) was sweet.

I ordered Fish cake and shrimp vermicelli bowl. It was okay but not amazing. It is more like on the bland side. My family ordered other dishes which were also not flavorful enough to our taste; even the grilled meat were not well-marinated, it was bland again.
Service was okay. The indoor and outdoor designs are nice and lovely even though it is a little bit narrow inside.

Ordered the Papaya salad and it was absolutely delicious unlike anything I’ve ever had at any bay area restaurant. Extremely clean flavors that was very refreshing and not overpowering with nice hints of lime and basil. Maybe not quite traditional since the fish sauce was very light but I found it was absolutely delicious.
Also ordered a bowl of their signature pho which isn’t quite as delicious since it cooled down during delivery. Pho broth still had quite good flavor and I love they provide all the accoutrements without asking including basil, chilis, sriracha, oyster sauce, limes, etc. Good portion sizes and reasonable prices.
