The soup is decent however I picked up a takeout order and when I got home, the paper bag ripped on the bottom and everything just splattered all over the floor. Someone did not close the lid very well. I called them to let them know and they just thanked me for informing them. No apology and no compensation. There’s soup all over the floor and now I have to clean it up.

AUTHENTIC GOOD PHO. There’s a shortage of good Viet food in West LA, so I take the drive to Van Nuys whenever I get a craving. I always get the combination special pho (dac biet). One of the best restaurant pho in the area and prices are also lower in comparison to other places.
The only reason I gave it four stars is because the portions for the pho can be quite inconsistent. It’s hard to know how big your potion will be each time.

The best Pho I ever had hands down! My cousins and I love this place. We always order to go.We have been coming here for over 4 years now. I tried other places but they are not the same as pho 999.

Number 19 -Rare steak pho is always fresh, served quickly, and flavorful
Love adding the toppings like the bean sprouts, sriracha, hoisin sauce for the full effect
Try the egg rolls for a delicious side to accompany your meal, can’t go wrong here

Ordered takeout from here for the first time last night. Got lemongrass chicken over rice and veggie spring rolls. The veggie spring rolls are fine but the tofu is so flat it’s basically not there and it kinda just all tastes bland. The peanut sauce tastes watery. The lemongrass chicken is probably the grossest chicken dish I’ve ever had. The chicken is in giant chunks that are full of fat and gristle and has a very small amount of vaguely sweet sauce on it. None of it tastes like lemongrass. I won’t be ordering from here again or eating here. My friend got the brisket pho and says it’s fine but don’t get anything else. It’s not worth it.

Spacious, well(?)-decorated, and clean. Staff are very kind and welcoming. Music they were playing was a little strange to me, but I guess it goes well with the vibe here. Food was decent, and egg rolls were amazing. Liked their Vietnamese coffee too! Would revisit when I’m around the area.

Totally mediocre basic Pho, not bad, but also not “mmmm, that’s good.” My wife wasn’t feeling it at all, barely got through half her soup. The chicken broth had a taste of maybe some bullion and just didn’t taste special or like it was all that homemade. the spring rolls were downright not good. The shrimp inside wasnt deveined and a bit rubbery and the meat was completely unseasoned. Tasted old and bland. Sauce did not help its cause either.
We tried it, was hoping for better, but we left feeling it was pretty forgettable and don’t need to come back.

The price on the website is deceptive and inaccurate. For example, the pork egg roll costs $10 instead of $6.75. When asked, the owner dismissed it like that’s not a big deal. The quality of food is mixed. The pork egg rolls taste great with well textured meat stuffing and crispy skins and dipping sauce but the Beef Combo Pho was mediocre at best. Part of it could be that we ordered take out and the soup wasn’t hot enough to cook the meat.

We ordered rare steak pho and chicken pho and were very let down. The broth was almost see-through and tasted as if it was watered down multiple times. We had to flavor it ourselves at home.
Unfortunately we will not be coming back.

This is my favorite pho place in the Valley. There are a lot of good ones, but this one is easy to get to, close to the 101 and 405, right across the street from 99 Ranch. The food is great and the service is quick. It’s not as clean and modern as some might like (especially the bathrooms), but the food is great.
