The restaurant itself is very small and crowded. It was pretty busy when my friend and I came here but the customer service was excellent and the food came out pretty fast. I’ve been on a search for good bun bo hue and this place did not disappoint. Only wished the veggies that came with it included the traditional mint and cabbage. My friend got the P1 pho and it was great as well. Great flavor. Both dishes came loaded with protein. Was not really a fan of the spring rolls though, it lacked in flavor and was not tightly packed. Literally fell apart after the first bite but that didn’t take away the lovely experience. The cold cut banh mi was awesome! I’ve been on a search for a decently packed banh mi and for the price, it wasn’t bad! Glad to say I’ve found my favorite place for banh mis that’s close by to where I live. 🙂 will most definitely be back for them!

Stuck us at a table right next to their check out spot, had to eat in close proximity to peoples butts and they were trying not to bump into me. The walls looked like they have never been cleaned. Hot tea served in a tall cold drink glass? Was not appealing. The Vietnamese coffee tasted like it was in the fridge too long. Server was clearly over people and seemed annoyed to have to take our order and never checked if we needed anything food or drink wise after. Won’t be back.

I tried Cơm Gà Xối Mỡ (Vietnamese Fried Chicken Platter). The portion is quite big, consisting of a good amount of rice, a sizable chicken thigh, and a small bowl of soup. The fried chicken is okay, but the skin is not as crispy as I like. The rice is normal fried rice, not the type of rice I’m used to eating in this dish. The area in this strip was quite sketchy the day I visited (Sunday Lunchtime).

Despite the limited seating and a 35-minute wait, our experience was fantastic. We managed to run errands during the wait time and once seated, the service was flawless and the food arrived promptly. Every dish was exceptional. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Pho 99 is a good hole in the wall location for asian cuisine. The place is kinda small but the service and speed of the food serving kinda makes up for it. Their stir fried dishes and pho are really good. We also tried the fresh spring rolls and it tasted fine but didn’t feel as fresh. They also serve their own chilli oil which is really spicy but it does elevate your food experience.
I would go there again for a variety of dishes though. Overall a decent experience with this restaurant

I’m thrilled to have discovered Pho 99, and I’m eager to return and try more of their menu offerings. As a first-time visitor, I was blown away by the quality and flavor of their dishes.
One of the standout features of Pho 99 is their generous portion sizes – I’ve rarely seen a restaurant that doesn’t skimp on the serving size, but Pho 99 is committed to delivering a satisfying meal. Their pho, in particular, is cooked to perfection and loaded with tender beef
The service was also impressive, with friendly with not much wait time.
In short, Pho 99 is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for delicious Vietnamese cuisine and a dining experience that exceeds expectations. I look forward to exploring more of their menu and sharing my thoughts with fellow foodies.
Will definitely be back – and be sure to write more about it

I love the pho (Combo Pho)! The broth was perfect to my liking. It doesn’t need any extra seasoning, but you can add their amazing homemade chili sauce for some heat. That spice was great!!!
The Springrolls, love that crunch they added. The Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk is strong, but there’s nothing wrong with adding a little water to it.

Pho 99 was pretty decent. As my Pho palette mature, my broth expectations grow. This broth was kinda oily. Either than that, everything else was good. Not a fan of the atmosphere because how close tables are, but that’s me nitpicking. Overall, I’d definitely visit again!

the service is nice; the food is okay but the atmosphere?? it’s awful. the place is in terrible condition and with all the money they made all these years you would think they would use that to make some improvements. mold is all on the kitchen ceilings. that is so disgusting and dangerous for the workers and most importantly the customers. as they are cooking everyone’s meals in the moldy kitchen. the food is absorbing the mold air. I was very sick the next day after eating the food. even just inhaling the mold while eating your meal is disgusting … do better pho 99!!! the reviews of this place being so highly is false

Wow.
Owned by Vietnamese people.
Good broth. Crazy HOT broth. Excellent taste. Oil has been removed. Clear broth. Perfect
Great service. Using kids as staff. Good English.
One of the few good pho restaurant in the twin cities. It’s sad that people just eat pho and “Think” it’s good or just “settle”. I’m talking about people eating in Frogtown. Venture out further and fill your inner pho desire. Once you find a good place you’ll realize what you have been missing for years.
Trust me, this pho is good. You can smell the bone broth as you open the front door. The pho
bowl Pho Dac Biet presentation is perfect. Little far.
2023, this place for now, sets the standard in the twin cities. For now, this place is top dog in MN. Until this place lowers its standards or loses its consistency. Only time will tell. We will check back again.
I see from the reviews that this place has had a new owner for only two years now. New owners brought better pho flavor. A positive change.
