Excellent pho. Very flavorful. The service is a bit dry, though very prompt, like my food was ready in 1 minute. This is a great place for a quick tasty food. Will come back again to try other items on their menu.

I stopped in at Pho79 after hearing some good things about it from people I know. I think based on these things maybe I had too high of an expectation for it. Average is the best way I can describe Pho79. Average food, average portions, average location. There wasn’t anything mind blowing or anything that stood out. My Hu Tieu had a decent sized bone in the slice of chicken I had, and the broth itself.. very average. The shrimp in wonton wrapping I haven’t seen yet but was also pretty average. I would eat at Quang and Pho Tau Bay down the road before coming back. That’s just being honest. The nice thing was service was prompt and prices were kinda reasonable but on the higher side of reasonable. Definitely kind of a hole in the wall joint with average food.

For years, when I crave for a good bowl of pho, I either go to Pho 79 or Pho Tau Bay. Since PTB is closed on Wednesday, I took my friend Robert to Pho 79 instead. After studying the menu and the various options for Pho, we opted for Com Tam Bi Suon Cha (the egg is now made over easy, no longer an egg baked). The service is friendly, the food came out quite fast. The Suon (grilled pork) was a bit dry and tough, the egg was overcooked. The Ca-Phe Sua Da was spot on! Still, we had a nice meal and perhaps next time we should really order Pho Tai Nam Gau Gan since we are at a Pho Restaurant.

Best Pho this side of the river and I promise you I’ve tried them all. Super efficient service, no frills, classic Vietnamese restaurant environment. Everything you want from a family-owned, authentic spot. Lean beef and brisket Pho never disappoints, the broth is so satisfying – light, layered, refreshing and aromatic – I wish I could get it in an IV.

Had an amazing meal today at Pho79. My throat was a little sore and I was looking for some hot pho and Pho79 did not disappoint. The waitress was fast and friendly and I saw another woman (possibly the owner) have 2 conversations with people who were clearly long time regulars, they were talking about their holidays and showing pics. Made me feel good to eat in a place the locals know and clearly love. The food was fantastic. The friend shrimp egg rolls were the best I’ve ever had. So well seasoned and crispy and delicious. Fries pork dumplings were also delicious. I ordered the Hú Tíu +Mí #25 and it was delicious. Broth was well seasoned and packed with various meats. Would highly recommend

The catfish in the clay pot was so damn good. I will be back. Also my friend had pork and shrimp vermicelli salad and she loved it as well. But the flavors in that clay pot was excellent!! You can get it as spicy as you want or not spicy at all. I got not spicy at all. So good!! I WILL BE BACK!!

First time here, and it was GREAT! Got our food within 15 minutes. Appetizers came within 3 minutes. Pho I give 7.5/10. Springrolls I give 7/10 but the sauce that comes with it, 10/10. HOLY COW, I was amazed.

Yummy Pho!! Also, the best sesame chicken my husband has had (with a slight crunch while covered in tasty goodness). Also— the fried pork dumplings were delish (although a tad hot and we didn’t want to let them cool). Alcohol free drink menu but quality food!

I loved the food and my server but I went there with the wrong guy. Thank goodness the boba was so good I could ignore him and the food was divine . Their pho is delicious even tho I’m half Asian and can’t use chopsticks Didn’t matter at all, I finished it so quickly because the broth was perfect and the meat was good quality and tender! Perfect to go to even w the imperfect person apparently ‍♀️
