I have come here multiple times and I always appreciated the price of the dishes. Nothing is too expensive and they give good portions. However, the last couple times I went the quality seemed to have lowered. Despite that I would still come here again since the food is pretty good. I do think the place could use some changes and an overall makeover since it is a bit outdated. I would recommend this restaurant to families or larger groups of people who want to eat good, be comfortable and for a reasonable price downtown Kingston.

We used to be regulars when we lived in Kingston up to 2010. We hadn’t been there since we moved but took the opportunity of a sport competition to go back.
It’s not what it used to be. Perhaps CoviD restrictions transformed its business plan and they are more a take out place now?
I put 5 stars for the ambiance, but only because I greatly appreciated the fact that it was quiet. Very few guests and very quiet music. But no effort has been put in the decor or renovations…

The service was very good. Friendly and diligent people.

However, the food didn’t taste the same as it did way back. It was kinda bland? Disappointing.

Anyway, it was a trip down memory lane… We’re happy we went back, but it’s not what it used to be 🙁

We were happy to stop by this restaurant where we appreciated the lemon grass beef skewers. It was tender and juicy! The owner was very nice and exchanged a few words in French as my partner is francophone. We also had pad Thai and we loved the sour taste of it. Well definitely come back

Went there on Saturday, April 1st 2023 at around 7pm. Atmosphere was just the way we like it: quiet and peaceful. We had special #1 and special #4. I was amazed at how much protein was served, most restaurants skimp out on the protein. Slightly bland marinades, but that’s great for the sodium conscious folks. Pricing was fair for what we got. Would go again!

The place had a simple but beautiful decoration, its dishes were very generous and with a very good flavor, the waiter who served us did his best to speak to us in French, we loved the chicken and vegetables phat thai, what a spectacular sauce!

I was so happy to see that this place was still open. I used to go to it all the time over 20 years ago. I walked in and it was the same layout – couldn’t believe it. I walked up to the counter and the owners were Asian – awesome – it’s still the same family maybe… I looked at the menu. I used to get #13 – the hottest green curry I’ve ever had. So hot but you kept going – nearly too hot to eat and I have a very high tolerance – it was awesome! I asked the owner where #13 was and she didn’t know what I was talking about, even after much details. I thought maybe i was mistaken about the #, but I’m pretty sure I wasn’t, so I ordered #12 – the green Thai curry and said “make it super hot”. 15 minutes later I picked it up. 15 minutes later I’m in my hotel room. 1 minute later I’m opening the container. Looked delicious. I started to eat and it went down hill after that. Was mild in heat and had lots of broccoli and hunks of cabbage. I’ve eaten a lot of Thai Green chicken curries and I never saw it made this way before. I still ate it because it was eatable but so very dismayed that it wasn’t remotely the same quality as I recalled so many years ago. So disappointing.

Seems like a nice family run restaurant. I really recommend their curry. I personally don’t like fish sauce, but the taste was good when added to the vermicelli.

Visited this place on April 4th, 2024.

Got late lunch with my friends and stumbled upon this establishment. I ordered a rice and curry chicken dish (pictured). The food tasted pretty good and was a decent price. The service was also fine and the food came out fairly quickly. The atmosphere was just a little eerie? We were the only ones in the restaurant at this time which we thought was a little odd, but it didn’t ruin the experience.

It’s really amazing just same as I ate locally in Cambodia year 2024. I mean of course the dishes added coconut milk which made dishes more flavorful, better smelling! The basic flavor of curry is super and local tastes as I tried in Cambodia. We ordered a Golden Shrimp, the curry flavor is a bit spicy but does not over-cover the fresh shrimp! Coconut taste makes it smooth combined with shrimp! Really good.
