Phil’s Steakhouse has been on my list of localish places. I’m glad we found it as we rather like local over chain restaurants. As we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. A nice surprise since it was Friday night dinner time. We sat in the patio section which was completely covered and cozy with the gas heaters (1/23). First a nice salad and bread. We both ordered a Ribeye and Loaded Baked Potato. The salad was standard and well dressed. The steak was cooked exactly as we ordered, medium, and well seasoned. Loaded baked potato was perfectly soft and had that great skin. We really enjoyed and appreciated this local steakhouse. We can see why there was a full house and people waiting as we left. Phil’s was a nice find.

Fantastic ribeye and sirloin tips were outstanding as well. Peppers and onions were sautéed perfectly, Simple menu with just enough options but not too much. Outdoor seating is shaded and service was outstanding. Highly recommend this hidden gem!!

Phil’s is a cozy, hidden gem in the Upstate and worth any drive. The owners, Frances and Brett, are the definition of hospitality and their team is attentive, professional, and lovely. Every time I’ve ever been, my filet or ribeye have always been seasoned and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this lovely spot on the Spartanburg line – the quality, consistency, and experience never disappoint!

We ate at Phil’s Steakhouse tonight for the first time! I absolutely loved it!!! It is a wonderful place!!! It’s family oriented and all the staff is very nice!!! The food was also very delicious and fresh!!! I got a salad that was very fresh and delicious! I also got the hamburger steak and it was delicious and tender!!! For an appetizer I got the fried pickles! They were also very delicious!!! The restaurant is also very beautiful!!! They have a beautiful Christmas tree, beautiful Christmas decorations and beautiful candles sitting on each table!!! I definitely 100 percent recommend trying Phil’s Steakhouse!!! It’s one of those places that you can’t just try once! We will definitely be back to eat there again!

Good downhome steak and taters place! It was our first time there. It was a small neighborhood restaurant, and quite busy. It was well worth the 20 minute wait. The servers were awesome, had great customer service, and good timing. The filets were mouthwatering, the baked potato & steak fries were both done well, and the peach “cobbler” was tasty! We would definitely go back!

Third time there, we were seated under the patio outside.
I ordered the cheeseburger with steak fries. The burger was well done and to done for me. The steak fries were warm and good.
My fiance had the NY Strip, fried okra along with the house salad. She said that the steak was ok, the okra was good along with her salad.
We were served a loaf of bread and butter that we did not eat.
The kicker was the flies, we constantly had to wave to keep them off our food. All the guests were doing the same and were complaining to themselves.
The owner came by to check on us and was spraying lavender, there were several sachets under and around the tables.
Never got refills on our beverages and heard the servers apologize for being short handed.
We have ate in the dining room and in the outside area previously and never had any issues.
The patio could definitely be screened in to keep the flies away.

First time here and wasn’t disappointed. Our server Lindsay, super attentive and got our food and beverages out quickly. My ribeye was cooked perfectly, my wife’s shrimp crunchy and fresh, my daughter’s sirloin tips, also excellent can’t wait to visit again!
