Loooooong time customer here. Ordered pizzas for my birthday and no clue what we got. Crust was like chewing on a cement block and pizza had absolutely no taste. We go here because of the cheese but this cheese had no flavor. Look at the pictures. Didn’t even look like a Phil’s pizza. Looks horrible. We never ever call or complain but this was so bad we did. Manager just says nothings changed thanks. No apology no nothing. We weren’t looking for anything free just maybe some concern or apology from manager. So many othe great pizza places around. Being from the area we’ve been hearing this a lot from others. It’s good you have a busy buisness but treat your repeat customers with some respect.

Was in town for a day on my way back to Madison from Cincinnati for Thanksgiving and my nephew in law said this is the spot… that was some top notch pizza!! He was not wrong and you guys did not disappoint… at all. Had a lot of pizza in my lifetime, first job was making pies and this was exceptional pizza… can’t wait to come back and visit again!!

First the positives: The lady at the counter was super nice and the place was immaculately clean and brightly lit. The pizza has plenty of toppings and the sauce is pretty decent. Now the negative: it’s not cooked right. It tastes like they just mixed up the dough a few hours ago and rolled it out and cooked it. Instead of allowing the pizza dough time to develop flavor and texture by letting it sit overnight in the cooler or allowing it to proof. Most of the crust is partially raw. And the entire bottom of the pizza is white. No nice scorch marks on the bottom of the crust like there’s supposed to be. Is there maybe an ingredient missing in this crust? It just isn’t right. Too bad, I think the place has potential if they could adjust their dough making technique and maybe adjust the temperature of the oven or something like that. But the good news is throwing a few slices in the power air fryer XL for four or five minutes fixed my problem, kind of. Thank you for reading my rant, pizza is like religion to me I take it seriously.

I had Phil’s twice a couple weeks apart. I heard a lot of good things about them, so I wanted to give it a try. The first time It was pretty good, cheese had a nice flavor no complaints.

I came back a few weeks later and it was not as good, dry and seemed thrown together. Many people compare the way its layered to Beggars pizza but I didn’t get that the few times I have been here. I plan to give them another chance soon though.

I drive 1 1/2 hrs to get a pizza I seen all the reviews and the hype about the pizza flavor. I rated it a 3 out of 5 the crust was nice and thin but tasted like cardboard, the sauce was flavorless needed some tlc with seasonings, it had lots of cheese but it did not do it justice since the overall taste was flavorless. I love the square cuts and the pizza in a bag Sorry one and done!

Pizza is one of the best in Chicago. Probably the best. They make their pizza with a good amount of ingredients and baked just right. Can’t go wrong with Phil’s Pizza. Definitely a must try! This pizza lover (Me) recommended and promise you that you would not be disappointed!!!

Phil’s Pizza in Oak Lawn has been a cherished part of our family tradition for years. Every time we visit my 80-year-old grandma, we make it a point to order their amazing sausage pizza for carry-out. My grandma absolutely loves it—it’s her favorite treat. My kids can’t get enough of it either, and I have to admit, it’s one of my favorites too. There’s something about the perfectly cooked crust, the flavorful sausage, and the rich sauce that makes every bite memorable. Bringing Phil’s pizza home feels like bringing a little bit of joy to our family gatherings. It’s more than just a meal—it’s the time we spend together, sharing stories and laughs over some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. Thank you, Phil’s, for being a part of our family’s traditions and for creating memories we’ll treasure forever. We can’t wait for our next visit!

If you’re looking for a delicious Chicago-style thin crust pizza in this area, look no further. The crispy cracker crust pairs well with the not overly-sweet sauce and the sausage had good flavor. I ordered a small, sausage thin crust for pickup and it came cooked to perfection in 25 mins. I’ve had it a few times in the past few years and each time it’s been spot on. Can’t beat the price either at $15 for a small, one topping. This place is a must-try whether you’re local or from out of town.
