We had a long wait but everyone leaving kept saying it was worth it. We were seated right at the end of breakfast and it kinda reflected in some of the food. The chocolate gravy had a strange taste, like it had been sitting for a while, and the meats were not very hot when we got them. The pancakes are delicious and HUGE! They are served with melted butter and syrup, which was so nice. The atmosphere overall is so fun; it’s like going to a grandma’s house.

This is good country cooking! If you are looking for friendly service and home cooking this is your place. They made sure we had plenty of tea and the servings were large. I had baked chicken and more mashed potatoes than I could eat.

What a special place to have breakfast. A wonderful sweet waitress. The biscuits & gravy best ever. The waffles were huge. Phil is actually the cook and has been for many years. Love, love this place.

Absolutely recommend this place!! Portions were huge and the food was soo good. Paul waited on us and he was very friendly and did a fantastic job. The young lady (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name, Tina I think) who spoke with us about local attractions was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. 10/10 highly recommend.

WE LOVE CHEYENNE. She is by far the friendliest, sweetest, most charming person we’ve met in a long time. Incredible customer service, I LOVED chatting with her, too! She made our lunch so special and we left with smiles on our faces because of her. Thank you Cheyenne!

Found this one of a kind hole-in-wall on our travels and will be coming back when nearby again. However, the omelets are to share next time. They use 8 eggs! I had no idea. My eyes bugged out and jaw dropped.
Everything was delicious. Was excited about the grits too, not over done and gummy. Well done

Pure, family-friendly, down-home diner vibes! This charming little house-turned-restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, welcoming service that makes you feel right at home. The staff is attentive, friendly, and truly seems to care that you enjoy your experience.

The food is fantastic—classic comfort dishes made fresh and served piping hot. And let me tell you, come hungry, because the portions are huge! Everything we ordered was flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with love.

If you’re looking for a cozy, family-oriented spot with great service and even better food, this diner is definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend!

The service was great. The people are really friendly. The food was not good at all. The chicken fried chicken was small, the corn bread was dry. They charged us for croissants that we didn’t ask for. They for our bill wrong twice. We ended up just paying it because we didn’t want to get it fixed a 3rd time. The chicken and dumplings lacked chicken and was gooey. Do not recommend.

That was one of the best meals I have ever eaten in a restaurant. It was plentiful and delicious. I had the hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and turnip greens with a quart jar of iced tea! Wow! The staff made me feel like family. It was awesome.

First thing to know. you seat yourself.

We did not get to Phil’s for breakfast unfortunately as we heard that was great. That being said the dinner was a let down from what we have heard. The Sweet Tea in the mason jar (iPhone next to it for reference) is fantastic. Having had a lot of chicken fried steaks over my life I was thinking this would be great as our server said the “portions are HUGE! The mashed potatoes take up half the plate!” Well they did but the chicken fried steak was bland and I’m not sure what kind of meat was in it. My wife’s turkey club wasn’t great but she raved about the potato salad. The cornbread had zero taste which was unfortunate.

Our server was friendly and attentive. We got a good laugh listening to her yell at the cook.
