I decided to choose the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs.
As far as ribs go, I would rate this about average, but it’s pretty impressive that you can get average ribs at an airport.
The ribs were well-charred on the outside, although maybe a little too much on the ends. The insides weren’t super-tender, but I can’t really called them overcooked, either. They were sort of middle-of-the-pack.
There’s a lot of barbeque sauce poured over the top of these ribs. As someone who doesn’t really like BBQ sauce, this was kind of annoying, but I can see how people who really like it would appreciate this. The constant sauce flavor grew a bit tiresome for me, however
This did end up being pretty expensive – at around $25 for a 1/2 rack of ribs + a fountain drink. I got about 8 ribs in total, so it was pretty solid portion wise, but you’ll definitely pay for the fact that this is an airport
Overall, I think these ribs were pretty decent, but nothing special. Not bad for an airport, though. 7.5/10
Breakfast burrito ready in about 5 minutes ordered at 5:09am on a Saturday with only one person in line. Hefty and filing. Just over $17 with tax. (Probably the fastest meal option from what I have observed.)
Broham pulled pork sandwich ready in less than 5 min with a light crowd at 10a on a Sunday. Perfect for a pre-flight meal. Plenty of seating in a spacious dining area. Tasty food and friendly service. $18 for the sandwich and one side before taxes.
Another visit included an El Toro Tri-Tip Sandwich, ready in 10 minutes with no line for ordering (mid Sunday morning). Also excellent and satisfying. $20 and change with one side, cup of water and tax.
BBQ Burger (sauce on the side) ready in 10 minutes on a Friday night at 8:50pm (in 12 min at 5:00am Sat). Tasty beef patties that were juicy and a little crumbly with a nice smoky flavor. (No sponge meat here, thank you!) I usually tear my burgers into bite-sized pieces as I eat (big beard) and it is always nice to see a juicy glaze puddle on the edges of the patties as I pinch off each piece. Kudos to Phil’s on that. Coleslaw was fresh, hearty, and crisp. Nice. More of a creamy variety than tangy. Just shy of $20 with tax.
Sausage sandwich ready in 12 minutes starting at 5:25a on a Thursday with no line to order.
All were satisfying. I’ll keep coming back.
Phil’s BBQ absolutely knocked it out of the park for our company summer picnic! From the initial planning stages to the final cleanup, the service was exceptional.
We worked with Marisol, the Event Coordinator, who was incredibly helpful and responsive. She understood our needs, made sure we had plenty of food for everyone, and even managed to keep us within our budget. Her communication was fantastic, and she followed up consistently leading up to the event, putting our minds at ease.
On the day of the picnic, Corey led the team, assisted by Lizzy and Dani, and they provided truly outstanding service. Corey kept us informed throughout the event and ensured that all of our guests had their fill of delicious BBQ. What impressed us most was their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile. The staff even took the initiative to clean up afterwards, which was a huge help!
Overall, we give Phil’s BBQ a 10 out of 10! The service was top-notch from start to finish. We definitely recommend Phil’s BBQ for any event, big or small. You won’t be disappointed!
