Philly vegan located on RVA’s Southside at 12th & Hull Street is always a treat with their wonderful plant based vegan menu that is guaranteed to satisfy your appetite and soul. My go to is the Philly Vegan Cheesesteak , but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu so don’t be afraid to be adventurous when placing an order. As recommended by the owner Mr. Samuel on this visit we tried the “Samuel Daniel SmashBurger ,” And I must say it was tasty . The wedges were nice and crispy and seasoned excellently. They also have a variety of sides and hefty appetizers, kids menu, and wonderfully flavored shakes & desserts . They have even added Sorrels to their menu. The service is soulful, energetic, and invitingly warm. Philly Vegan is a good place to give your palate a break from the usual. Also as a community incentive Philly Vegan has “Pay-What-You-Can” days.

We got a Philly, a sampler, and an egg roll sampler. Everything was excellent. The eggrolls were my favorite. I will be thinking about the apple pie egg roll for a long time. We were greeted very kindly when we came in and the food was ready quickly. We will be back and would highly recommend!

It was the customer service for me. Didn’t greet me, nor tell me anything. Just looked at me as if I was ruining her day. The food was just okay. The loaded nachos just had cheese and meat I thought loaded meant all toppings, no biggy it just was super salty other than that great flavor. The cheeseburger quesadilla was okay too just too burnt to eat. The fry seasoning was incredible, the oatmeal cream pie was okay too. I drove all the way from High Point NC and was expecting magic. I don’t think I would have mind trying it again had the customer service been stellar, everyone has bad days though so I may try this again. I did converse with them on Facebook prior to even showing up and they interacted so well then, which was my whole reasoning of coming and trying ❤️

This was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. My husband and I were experimenting with different diets and wanted to try vegan food. This blew away all expectations in the best way. My husband got a sampler that had a slider, Philly cheesesteak fries, and a philly cheesesteak egg roll. All of these items were absolutely delicious. The egg roll was the star of the show. I had a black bean burger which was also very very good. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was clean and fun, with the most friendly and helpful staff member. He made sure we understood the menu, and there was even a video playing explaining some of the menu options. The prices were extremely fair for the quality and quantity of food we received 11/10 experience. I will be going back.

First time here and eating vegan food! I’ll say I was not expecting my food to taste this way! That ish was DELICIOUS!! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls w/a side of Tots. Those Egg Rolls are huge! They are full of flavor and are fried to a beautiful crisp in a light wrap. (They were a little greasy though). The Tots were perfectly seasoned. Oh, I can’t forget to mention the sweet sauce it came with…so good. Overall the food was delicious and I will visit again! The customer service was great as well.

I forgot to take a photo of the food because it disappeared immediately. This was my first vegan Philly, and I’m so impressed that they were able to perfectly capture the creamy and meaty flavors and textures of my favorite sandwich using only plant based ingredients. If all vegan food tasted like this I think I could make the switch.
I highly recommend giving this place a try

Last day of V72 week, and I finally got the chance to try PV. I heard they were good, but wasn’t prepared for the tasty chicken Philly sliders. They were in hot dog buns for bread that on site I was worried would be soggy, thankfully they weren’t. What they were is delicious. They were full of “chicken” and just enough cheese to make it creamy and Philly good.
I also got a side of fries, they were heavily seasoned, but not too much, it was the way I like them, topped it all off with a banana pudding shake. When I tell you not only was everything delicious… that shake was like having dessert. Perfect ending to my meal.

We had the Philly cheese steak loaded tots and the trio egg rolls. Everything was ready super fast and savory and delicious. We also had sorrel mint hibiscus drink that was so refreshing.

This was my first time, trying vegan food and I honestly couldn’t tell it wasn’t real meat. It’s well seasoned, presentation was excellent and the portions was as expected. The restaurant is on a busy stretch of road but there is parking on the side, inside is cute and homey but its small so I wouldn’t recommend sitting inside. The shake was also dairy free and tasted fresh and the creamy texture gave it that much more of a all natural taste
