I love this place, will always stop in if I need a quick bite. The food is delicious, they are fast and friendly! I always get the combination (chicken and lamb) over rice, with chickpeas and salad. Don’t forget the white sauce and if you like it spicy their hot sauce is the perfect addition! Their portions are extremely generous especially for the price. It’s always a hard choice between getting samosas or their falafel. Most times we get both. The combos even come with a drink. It’s crazy the options and food quality coming out of this little food cart. Conveniently located in the Citgo gas station parking lot. Always plenty of parking!

This halal cart is a quick and convenient stop for lunch or dinner. Stopped there while driving through and they are conveniently located at a gas station, so parking is no issue. As for the food, would recommend the chicken gyro. It was very flavorful, and I enjoyed the twist that the BBQ sauce brought.

You guys really raved about the food truck in the Citgo parking lot so here we go. I never in my life will order chick peas but these added some nice flavor to the mix. Definitely give the chick peas a try if you are like me and don’t really eat them. The lamb and rice itself are pretty similar to the other food truck but I can see that between the chick peas and it comes with a soda is a better offer for the same price. I listened and said lite on the hot sauce. I’m glad that I finally tried these food trucks because I was getting sick of eating the same foods for lunch.

I needed gas and happened to see this small food trailer with a few customers, the aroma coming from the food was amazing. I had never had halal food before so while there was no line I walked over to check it out. The woman working allowed me to taste the chicken and it was delicious. I asked how it was served and she said I’ll make you a combination platter. She piled up a container with a seasoned long grain rice with chickpeas in a sauce, a big scoop of seasoned chicken and a scoop of cubed lamb. She recommended the white sauce on everything but not knowing what it was I asked for just a little. Hands down one of the tastiest meals I’ve had and extremely filling from the large portion.

I happened to be in Wilkes-Barre again today and I saw the food truck, There was again a line and I remembered that I liked the food, its been about a year and I couldn’t remember what I had or liked. When I got to the window the same friendly woman was working. I said I don’t remember what I had but it was chicken and something else she said ahh it was chicken with lamb over rice. How did she remember me from a year ago?! She asked if I wanted the chickpeas and I said yes so she gave a big scoop. I than said extra white sauce because it was amazing on the entire dish. It was as delicious as I remember and now that I’m sitting here stuffed I wanted to post a review. I absolutely recommend you to try this place. The food and service is amazing. I could see this place doing well with a brick and mortar location but I’m sure that would cause a price increase. A full overflowing Styrofoam container of the above with a can of ice cold soda was $10 and that cant be beat as I’ll likely be full all day off this meal.

I’m not one to eat from food trucks often, but since I started working in Wilkes-Barre this place has quickly become my regular haunt. The chicken over rice with red sauce is my favorite dish, and the woman who works here also put me onto the chickpeas which are also excellent.
If I could responsibly afford the $10 per day/$50 per week to eat lunch from here every single day, I honestly would.

Best halal food hands down! I am a huge fan of chicken or lamb over rice and this spot has the best platter iv had so far. And they have samosas! You cant get those just anywhere. The service is great, even if the line is long you’ll be in and out in just a few minutes. The price is phenomenal for the amount of food you receive. All around great service and flavor! I live in scranton and I make the drive to wilkesbarre just for this truck. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious! This was my first time ever having halal food, and wow—I’m officially obsessed. We got the shrimp over rice with white sauce, and the lamb and falafel over rice with white sauce, hot sauce, and the samosa sauce (which I had never even heard of before, but now I want to put it on everything).
Every bite was seriously so good—so much flavor, perfectly cooked, and honestly just comforting. And the portions were huge. I had enough for seconds and even thirds, no joke. For the price, it’s honestly such a steal.
If you’ve never had halal food before, this is the place to start. I’m already planning my next order!
