I want and like to support small business that are good and want to thrive in the community but unfortunately I felt I needed to write a review about Phillips street Restaurant. Very unfortunately, I only went there once to order take out and was disappointed with the quality of the food, as can be seen in the picture, I ordered the grilled sirloin kabobs. If you really notice, the meat on the left is darker than the one on the right – they replaced 2 pieces of steak with 2 pieces of pork on the skewers – which was awful. In addition to the skewer, if you look closely you the vegetables, they were from a bag that microwaved, not fresh vegetables at all.
Again, I really enjoy supporting small places, because I want them to grow and thrive, but if you are going to deceive me like that, I’ll be more than willing to write a negative and nasty review about you.

My cousin’s repass was truly uplifting here. The staff was exceptionally warm and welcoming.
Holding it upstairs was brilliant, affording us the privacy and space we needed. The food was a culinary masterpiece, served buffet style. I highly recommend it for an unforgettable Portuguese dining experience in East Providence.
Wish I could have taken more pics but we were enjoying our conversations.

We rented out the hall upstairs for an event. Very spacious, has bathrooms and accessible kitchen and the bar area is huge. You can bring in your own food for your event. All beverages must be bought through them. Overall great experience would rent here again.

Great old style Portuguese food! Been going there for years. You won’t find a better more affordable Portuguese restaurant in providence apps are family sized. Come for the food stay for the 1920

Would not go there again . I felt like I was walking into a basement. Very un organized and the food tasted like a can was opened and stuff was reheated! And pricey for the horrible quality. You just can’t compete with Fall River and New Bedford. To be McDonald’s with face been tastier

Food was terrible. Pork and little necks had more fat than meat! First time eating there and definitely my last. And the parts that weren’t fat we’re rubbery as hell. And let’s no forget the moldy cauliflower!

We are a couple who was traveling. We had a quick stop before we take an airplane. We stopped to eat in this restaurant. We left food was like they have spit in our food. We ate since we paid already. Left 30 min after at the airport vomits, nausea and diarrhea non stop started. Food poisoning or something else. I finally found it online wanted to give less then a start for review. Nasty someone need to look at what going on behind the kitchen here. Something is not right.

I enjoyed the Portuguese soup here SO MUCH. it was really good. The bread was great too.
The main entrance seems to just lead to the basement and the bar area. I think upstairs is for events but I don’t know.
Pretty casual down here in the lower level.
We had the goat asada and bife a casa. The egg on top was perfect. I would probably ask for extra sauce next time on the side.
Everything was good and reasonably priced though.
Big parking lot too

Ivy and Lace NEVER disappoints. In the past two weekends, they’ve made the cakes for my husband’s surprise 40th Birthday party last weekend and my son’s first birthday party yesterday. Both were INCREDIBLE. I will forever use them for special occasions. They are a delight to work with. Thank you so much!!

Been twice and served by Diwillo both times. Excellent server! Don’t be in a rush, food takes some time but worth the wait, it’s cooked to order. Homey atmosphere with fair prices, bill was $41 for sirloin kabob/rice/veggies, encrusted haddock/potatoes/salad, bread basket, a beer, and a wine.
