That was the start. I ordered a Crabcake sandwich and fries. I give credit where it’s due…it was good, probably about a 4. If it wasn’t $42 (without any drinks), it would’ve probably been a solid 4.5. About 10 minutes after I ordered my food, the bartender indicated that they will be shutting the kitchen down for 15 minutes. Looking through the order window, it looked like they were cleaning the grill and my order was nowhere to be seen. They should’ve just finished the pending orders and then shut the kitchen down for cleaning.
About 30 minutes into my wait, I tried to get the bartender’s attention. He was busy with the drink orders so I proceeded to get the attention of the waiter. He totally ignored me and gave me a dirty look when I asked if the order that was placed on the order window was mine. He didn’t even bother checking while picking up a couple of “dine in” orders that were next to my “to go” order. I started to get a bit anxious at this time since my flight that was about 20 minutes delayed was already half way through boarding. I waited another 5 minutes trying to get the bartenders attention. Close to 45 minutes into I said out loud towards the bartender that I’m about to miss my flight and I’ve been already waiting over 40 minutes for my food and I’m about to contest the charges. He finally graciously walked over to the window and gave me my food without saying a word.
Never again. Unless you have an hour to spare on waiting for food, I would stay away from this place.
There is a full bar. I did not have any alcohol.
The fries were tasty battered and seasoned. The serving seemed a bit light.
This is an airport gate side restaurant. There is plenty of space for carry on luggage.
The menu options are good.
Good food for a nice bite before departing.
