The two places I was going to mention have both closed down. I’ve heard good things about Philippine Bread House but have never been there.

$15 for a pint of kare kare, which only had 1 piece of meat and the rest was tripe. Strange mop like odor in the whole store. Lady who was working didnt greet us despite talking warmly with previous party who bought food. She also didnt give bagoong until we specifically asked. Considering that a combo meal with entree/2 sides/rice is only $13, I doubt that we were fairly charged. First time there, never again. Very poor representation of Filipino food/warmth

I wasn’t sure what to make of this spot. I rode by it many times. There weren’t any real photos online. However i finally took a chance to stop in and so glad i did. I will say it looked closed from the outside looking in. I’m not sure what their hours are exactly but i went on a Saturday between 12-3pm and they were open. When i walked in i saw tables and chairs, refrigerators, cashier. I didn’t see any bread anywhere again i stopped in on a weekend so maybe they ran out. They do have food options and it’s buffet style already cooked and on warmers. I opted in for the $11.50 combo which came with rice or noodles and two meats. Man they give you a lot of food. And what i got was delicious. I ordered the ribs that are cooked with potatoes and carrots. I also got the steak and onions. Everything was delicious. If you don’t eat from other cultures or aren’t a foodie this isn’t for you. This is for those that will eat street tacos if out of the country or who really loves food of any kind and not just 4 & 5 stars restaurants. They also have the option for a all you can eat buffet for $15.99. I mean for the amount food you really cannot beat it. Would i go back ? Absolutely. Would i dine in probably not. I only dine out when planned and usually somewhere fancy. But for good food i love a good take out spot and I’ll definitely be back. The man that helped me with my order and rang me out was very nice and pleasant.

I took a chance and tried this restaurant on a random weekday. Man, it was a good decision. The food was great and the lady helping me was so kind in helping me choose the dishes to try.

They had already packed away the food into the refrigerator when I stopped in 30 minutes before close time . The store employee took the time to take it out of the fridge and show me all the different dishes. I only knew pork adobo and asked the employee to recommend another dish. She recommended the beef caldereta.

I ended up with the combo that cost $12.50, it included 2 dishes with rice. All the food looked and tasted delicious. There was a generous amount packed and the box was heavy.

The employee asked how I found the restaurant and I told her I found it by googling Filipino restaurants nearby. There’s not a lot of options and it’s hard to tell what they sell without any website or google photos of the menu. She gave me a menu and I’ll definitely be back to try the other offerings!

The food here is delicious and the employees are always so friendly and accommodating! I’ve dined in here, had a party catered and had takeout and each experience was wonderful! Wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.

Food here is absolutely fantastic. As a Chinese person, I like the way the food is mostly cooked the same way as the authentic Chinese cuisine, yet with a touch of spice that I am not so familiar with, which always amazes me. Service is okay, with one very nice lady taking care of everything. However, it could be a bit stressful while you are on the grab-n-go mode, as it takes a long time for people to order. The main issue is that you need to open every single pot to see what is in there before you can decide. Would it be more efficient if they can hang a couple of photos for the customers to pick? That can also reduce the chance of contamination of the food.

I work across the street but never stopped in because I couldn’t tell if it was open or not. Boy am I glad I did! I’m in trouble now. This food is absolutely incredible! The lady serving was a sweetheart. BTW, she speaks perfect English so don’t worry about translating. She served from her buffet as I was in a hurry. I asked her to pick for me what she would want me to sample. There was some sort of roasted chicken, which was delicious then a beef stew that was out of this world! The meat was a very good cut of roast (rump?) that fell apart. The favors were incredible! I shared with my co-worker and we both laughed we’re going to be eating there weekly now. The very healthy serving of rice and above dishes was only $12.50 and we had food left over.
I strongly recommend this place. She emphasized they do cater, which I would do in a second if I lived around here. Go check it out for yourself. It’s right behind the tire store. Look for the Open light above the door.

So I am from California. I been missing Lumpia. I went to this place, just 5 minutes ago. I went in and asked for Lumpia. They acted like they couldn’t understand anything I was saying and looked at me crazy. I am a black woman. I will make sure to make another post of Facebook about how ridiculous this place is.

Sunday we were just here on the mood of Filipino Food… The girl on her chubby face has no interest of working on the register (bakery side) You approached her in a good way BUT SHE’S NOT like what’s up?! You guys should re-train her…If she’s not in the mood then quit then. Breads are AWESOME btw – Thank you!

So first the lady tried to double charge me for 2 combos which is 12.50 =25$. She told me it was 40, then when I left my money on the counter to grab a drink it was gone! Then she literally saw me looking for my money and when I asked she said she didn’t know.. after I left I called the store and told her you’ll probably be 40 dollars over and if you aren’t then the devil will have her way with her. If you been there you would know the register is right next to the cooler. There is now way I dropped it and if she refuses to show the video or give my money back cops will get involved

Excellent place for authentic Filipino food.

We stopped by on the way to VA, and we thoroughly enjoyed the lunch combos.

The rice + two option combos were filling and generous. I had adobo (pork cooked with a tangy vinegar / soy sauce and garlic) and beef caldereta (beef stew with tomatoes and veggies, slightly spicy)

My wife ordered sinigang (a tangy tart soup with veggies and meat) along with patatím (slow braised pork hock).

We topped off our meal with the classic shaved ice dessert – halo halo. The Ube (purple yam) ice cream was Magnolia branded, too! That was a great sign

If you haven’t tried Filipino food before, don’t be shy and give the food a try.

Parking was easy. No complaints.
