I discovered this place just last year and whenever I crave Filipino food, I would come here
It’s fast and easy. Today, I went there and was around 11:00, so they weren’t crowded yet. I asked for 6 empanadas among other foods that I bought. When I got home, there were only 5 empanadas but my receipt showed that I paid for 6. They also did not give me condiments for my kare-kare. Since it’s about 10-mile drive, I didn’t bother to go back. Lesson learned. Next time, I’d make sure to check each item I bought.

Ordered the Canton Pancit through Door dash,(because I’m at work)and they tell the door dash guy, “they didn’t have any at the moment, all they had was the Bihon.” I asked the driver what was the difference between the two, and he stated “the noodles were different!” When I received my food, all I got was a box NOODLES! Absolutely NO type of meat, and I paid almost 20 dollars for this food! Not to mention, the noodles were flavorless! I’ve been trying to reach out before I made this review, but they failed to answer their phone. I am so disappointed and PISSED! I work 12 hours, and can’t leave work due to my position…. And this is the foolery I received today!

I was craving for jeprox (dried fish variety) and unfortunately cannot cook coz i live in an apartment, so I was happy finding a breakfast meal with daing na bangus and jeprox , sunny side up and garlic fried rice in here. Inside Island Pacific supermarket lies PhilHouse, a Filipino to-go eatery specializing in all the classic Pinoy food we know & love. On a chilly December evening, preceding our usual Saturday Filipino newspaper gathering, we checked out PhilHouse for potential dinner.
Grilled combos start at $7.25, and come with rice, bihon noodles, or a combination thereof & salad. Grilled protein choices are pork & chicken BBQ, liempo (pork belly), squid, pompano, bangus (milkfish) tilapia & chicken inasal.
Classic combo meals start at $5.50, and come with rice, bihon noodles ,or a combination thereof & soup. Beef/ sisig/ lechon kawali & other per lb. items are 50 cents more, with selections varying daily.
Special menu items, such as dinakdakan kambing, kilawing kambing & chicharon bulaklak/bituka (fried pig intestines) are sold per lb. only, with a minimum of $5 worth.
For those looking for quantity, assorted value packs, platters & party trays cover the gamut of portion sizes, whether it be for an intimate get together or a bustling holiday party.
While not the best Filipino food option around, PhilHouse is easy, convenient & ready to eat. I’m a frequent customer at Island Pacific, so dinner can always be quickly picked up by checking to see what PhilHouse has that particular day.
