The BEST Philly Steak Sandwich in Northern Utah, maybe even the entire West Coast. The guy that started it was my neighbor yeeears ago, not sure if he’s still around, but super nice. I’ve eaten here for decades. Staff is friendly, speed is quick (super busy at lunch so keep that in mind) and everything is fresh. The sandwich is amazing, get it with extra ketchup. So why did I drop a star? Just because of the price, it’s gotten too high. $20 is too dang much for a sub that (to me) got less meat sometime in the last few years. I never used to be able to finish it, but can now easily. I would eat there much more often if it was $5 cheaper. Still the best steak sub around, go give it a try. Don’t forget your punch card!

I thought that the service was fantastic, we were taken care of and the workers were very kind. There was a lot of clean sitting room. The cheese steak was delicious and made fresh after we ordered it. I was able to split one with my wife. We loved this place, I will definitely be back!

Philly sandwichs are one of our favorites. This place has the best Philly sandwiches not just in town but in all the Rocky Mountains.

Friendly staff. Good size portions. Made fresh. The special house made spices are great. A good amount of heat but not so hot you dont enjoy the other flavors.

We have been coming here for over 10 years.

When I first stumbled across the Philadelphia Sub Shop, my hopes were sky-high. I thought, “Could this really be the place where I find a proper Philly cheesesteak in Utah? Or am I about to get another sandwich with shredded roast beef and a slice of Swiss pretending to be authentic?”

Well, color me impressed because this place actually comes awfully close to the real deal. I’ve had the genuine article at Reading Terminal Market in Philly, and while nothing beats standing shoulder-to-shoulder with locals yelling “wit’ whiz” at the counter, this shop delivers a cheesesteak that made me stop, smile, and say, “Okay Utah, I see you.”

Now, there’s one minor issue: they don’t use actual Cheese Whiz. And if you’re a purist, you know that’s basically sacrilege in Philadelphia. But hey, I get it, maybe Utah isn’t ready for liquid gold cheese product straight from the can. Baby steps.

As for sides? Don’t expect fries, onion rings, or some fancy aioli. Nope. You get… chips. Bags of chips. A glorious rack of crunchy, crinkly potato companions. Honestly though, you don’t even need them. These cheesesteaks are the right size, the right heft, and they’ll fill you up faster than you can say “Rocky Balboa.”

The staff? Extremely courteous and helpful. When I ordered my first time, they didn’t even laugh at me when I nearly shouted “One wit’ whiz!” out of habit. Instead, they just smiled kindly, like, “Bless his heart, he thinks we’re in Philly.”

Bottom line: If you’re in Utah and craving a cheesesteak, this is as close as you’re going to get without hopping a plane east. Just don’t ask for Cheese Whiz, you’ll get a blank stare and probably a bag of Doritos instead.

This is the best authentic philly cheesesteak restaurant, no doubt. The cheesesteak is utterly divine, I want to eat there everyday. Seriously, the bread is tasty with a great texture, the peppersteak is delicious with the cheesiness and the pepper relish, which I would love to buy a jar of for my kitchen, all working together as an awesome sub. Literally awesome; I sat in silence for a minute after I finished it beforing wondering if I should get another even though I was full. I’ve always heard the owner is from philly, which shows in the quality of the cheesesteak. The staff was friendly and fast, helping me in choose from the menu. I get the peppersteak with no ketchup, american cheese, and extra pepper relish, but they got a variety to choose from, so you can customize how you like. They have a pizzasteak that I want to try, but I just can’t skip on my go to, it’s just too good.

So, if you want an authentic cheesesteak, make the trek to this humble strip mall shop (don’t let that fool you, it’s very homely inside), and leave full and delighted.

Ordered the large philly cheesesteak (12″) , for 17$ I would expect it to be filled fully at least, the end thirds of each half contained barely anything it was just bread and you could fully enclose the whole sandwich. The sandwich was also very dry, and contained toppings I didn’t ask for. It has potential but for the price needs to be filled way more, and not be as dry.

Best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. Always fresh and good quality. Service is always great and surprisingly fast. I drive in from west valley just to eat here, the only downside is making it in before they run out of bread. Even then 5 stars!

Best cheese steak in Davis county. Fantastic food, great soda. The pizza cheese steak is my go to. Amazing. Always busy at lunch because it is so dang good. Despite being busy they get you in and out pretty quick.

This is one of the best places to get a hot sub. The bread is a nice thin soft bread that feels homemade and the meat is tenderly juicy with a lot of flavor.

Ate:
Pastrami 8″ w/ drink & chips
Mushroom Steak 8″ w/ drink & chips

Yummy is what I say. This place was recommended to us by another local business owner at Black Bumble tattoo and it was so good! The only draw back is the decor inside it’s a little patched together but the food and service was amazing and that’s what really counts.
