Long standing sandwich shop serving some of the best cheesesteaks and hoagies in the Philadelphia region. Phil & Jim’s has been an ‘institution’ in Delaware County, PA since 1962 and one of the original steak and hoagie shops in the area. Perfecting both sandwiches, unlike their competitors, Phil & Jim’s is nationally known with customers coming from nearly every state and sometimes driving for hours just to get their sandwiches. ‘An absolute must try’ if traveling to Philadelphia and especially if traveling through on I-95 North or South. Only 1 mile off of I-95 and 15 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport.
Hoagies, burgers & ample portions of deli fare are served up at this longtime neighborhood fixture.

The wait was finally over. I have been looking for to coming here for 6 months and they did not let me dowm.
We were greeted when we walked in and the young lady that took our order did a exceptional job! Every order came out perfect, hot and fantastic.
The food was out of this world. Nice soft roll, tender well chopped up steak, white cheese and of course Cheese whiz loaded with mushrooms and onions.
A large is monstrous but double up on the meat, mushrooms and onions, toss some extra cheese whiz in and on top with sweet peppers on the side and what you have here is a work of art.
The is the Mona Lisa of the cheesesteake world. Every bite just got better and better and better. More fulfilling until there was none left. It was truly what I / we were all looking foward to.
To the staff and Phil & Jim’s. Thank you for the womderful hospitality, the fantastic food and a great place to sit and enjoy..

I haven’t written a review in a while but this meal blew me away. I’ve never had a Philly cheesesteak in my life but with Adam’s well guided suggestion I had the most flavorful perfectly executed Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever. Well seasoned meat, perfect crunch on the bread, well thought out toppings, and delicious fries. I will definitely recommend this place and come back for more.

Streaks were awesome. Short wait and has connecting seating area with big screen TV and sports memorabilia. Good place for lunch and dinner sandwiches.

I have been going here for years and I’m never disappointed. My aunt who lives in Texas makes this her first stop after she lands because she grew up right on Mowry street and my dad and uncle worked there! The cheesesteak and Italian hoagie are my favorite. Even the cheese fries are the perfect crisp!

This place is a well respected neighborhood institution, and I appreciate their vibe. The service is very friendly too. It’s a solid cheesesteak. I’m not blown away, and it’s a fairly average sandwich that you can probably get something comparable from your local pizza joint , but I think they’re worth a try. This is a steak with fried onions & American cheese.

The service is phenomenal!
The employees are very friendly and engaging.
They have a separate dining room and it is full of sports memorabilia.
On to the food.
At first glance, the cheesesteak looked dry, but in my first bite, BOOM. Flavor.
Overall, it was a tasty cheesesteak. Cracked into my Top 20.
My only gripe was the portion. It was a bit smaller than expected.
The hot sausage was also very tasty, but my goodness, every hot sausage I’ve had up to this point in my life were long sausages, but this was a mini.
With both purchases, the portions were a bit disappointing, but overall the taste was good.

Cheesesteak was very good. Really liked the sweet peppers. They were slightly more oil than vinegar based and were all reds, orange, and yellows (much better than greens). Italian Hoagie was also very good. Hot peppers were balanced, more medium banana style. All fresh, all sliced nice and thin. Wish they had advertised the cooper sharp and whiz selections though. Parking a bit tight. Fairly quick service.

This place is a gem!!! Hungry for a cheese and steak today and they did not disappoint! I can tell this place has been around many years. And from the looks has not changed much. To me that’s a good thing. I got old school family 1980s feels when I entered! Simple menu. A person taking my order, no fancy kiosks! I loved it! The service was great! Friendly and fast!!! The food, the reason we go right! Well you will be happy with this cheese steak! Perfect! Huge portion! Delicious authentic! Must stop!!!!
