Placed an online order for some Thai hot Pineapple Fried rice and some Pad Thai. When I arrived, no one greeted me. Walked to the counter and still no one greeted me. They were all faced away from me, the front, it took someone coming from what I assumed was the bathroom to tap their shoulders to get their attention. Food was decent and fine in flavor, but not my favorite. My Thai Hot Pineapple Fried Rice wasn’t Thai Hot. It was mild and there was just some extra pepper sprinkled on top. Even when mixed in together, it still wasn’t Thai Hot. Pad Thai wasn’t as spicy as I’d like it but it was decent in flavor.

I ordered delivery so I can’t speak for service or atmosphere. Possibly the best Thai in the Northland. The panang curry is absolutely amazing, nice and thick. So flavorful. The crab rangoons are really yummy too, I love the take on the dipping sauce that comes them. Good balance of sweet and spicy. 100% ordering from them again.

Had a great dinner out with a group of friends last night. I didn’t catch the waitresses name, but she was great and a huge highlight in the evening.

The food was good too. I was happy with my crunchy sushi roll and the calimari was a fantastic sharable dish, although I did eat most of it myself.

I would have liked to have tried the Thai dishes but I really wanted sushi. So I guess I have a reason to go back next time I visit KC.

We try to eat here everytime we make it to KC. The service is always excellent, they are happy and friendly. I always get pad kee mao, drunken noodles which is outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a great lunch here! Food was flavorful and plentiful. Prices are still affordable despite all the other restaurants being so expensive. The staff was warm and welcoming. Parking was free at the market across the street.

We had the Tom Kha Soup Bowl with Chicken, spring roll sampler, and Shrimp Pad Thai. The only thing I’d say could improve is the crispy rolls were a bit greasy, and the chicken was tough. Otherwise, great experience and will definitely go back again for more!

The Pad Thai is toooooooo sweet for my liking. Kinda gross actually. I would have brought this to their attention but the service is non existent. Once the food came I’ve never been checked on. No water refills nothing!

I’m currently writing this waiting for someone to eventually bring me a check. I think they forgot about me with the constant loud conversation I’m hearing from the kitchen.

Service always lacked here throughout the years but now it’s at an all time low. This huge space should close and allow for a better restaurant to take its place. And turn the damn heat on it’s the winter!

Love this place! Have always enjoyed their Thai but they recently rolled out additional sushi menu items and a great cocktail list! Service is always very attentive and the new menu items are awesome as the river market community needed sushi in the neighborhood!

Had samuai roll (beautiful presentation and quite tasty!), seaweed salad (nice touch with avocado), miso soup (amazing) and the Thai 75(will crave this!!!!) Menu attached.

Dined at Phikul Thai Bistro for the first time last week with my partner and we loved it! I cannot believe I’ve lived in Kansas City so long without trying this restaurant. Honestly, it was the best Thai food I have had in this city to date! Not only was the food extremely fresh and fast, I was very impressed with the woman who served us. I am guessing she was the owner because she served both our table and another set of guests, she made all of the drinks, took the to-go orders, served the food, AND reset the floor. WOW!

We shared the Crab Rangoon and classic Tofu Pad Thai. I also enjoyed a Thai Iced Coffee Cocktail. Everything came out so quickly and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is decorated so beautifully and has a very authentic feel to it. I thought the bar tucked in the back was so cute and the purple colored napkins and seats look very nice. The fact the atmosphere equals the quality of food is hard to get right. I enjoyed everything and will definitely be back to try a curry next time!

Phikul Thai Bistro is a gem in the River Market with a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. The food was seriously flavorful. My wife’s Pineapple Fried Rice was a standout, with a perfect mix of sweet and savory, while my Tom Yum was beautifully balanced – sour, spicy, and fragrant. On our server’s recommendation, we tried a mango drink that was incredibly refreshing and a real highlight of the meal.
The only small hiccup in an otherwise excellent dinner was that our main courses arrived about five minutes apart. While it is priced as a premium experience, the quality of the ingredients really shines through. This, combined with the friendly service, makes it a spot we look forward to visiting again.
