Highly recommended. The food was really good and competitively priced. They had a beer special going on so bottles of Chang and Kirin Lights were $3 which was way more than reasonable.
The food was tasty and it arrived really quickly even if some of my noodles were undercooked.
Service was excellent!

Haven’t been here in some time but my son wanted to go to a good Thai place for his 14th birthday. We ordered quit a bit of good and all was good. The Pad Thai is the one dish we really like here, but I was a little disappointed as I stated I wanted some heat, I asked for a spice level of 2 on the Thai scale but there was literally no heat, nothing nodda. Was a big let down. We also ordered Pad Krapow at a spice level of 3 outta 4 and it barely had any heat to it. Now don’t get me wrong, the food was still really good but I am guessing they are making things less spicy on purpose, specially as they have a note on their menu saying no refunds due to spice level ordered. I will still go back but make sure they make it to what I actually ordered.

For years I’ve enjoyed the fresh veggie spring rolls, veggie egg rolls, papaya salad and Pad Thai. I figured I’d order take out for a birthday celebration Saturday night. Unfortunately I ordered the veggie spring rolls and got shrimp. The egg rolls were soft and drenched in oil. The fried rice was a mix of white and over cooked burnt brown mush. I asked for extra flavoring and could not taste any seasoning or spice level. I’m disappointed that I spent 80 dollars for a dinner I couldn’t eat on my bday. It dampened the ending to my day.

I really wanted to keep liking Phi Chay but I was sadly disappointed. First off, I was happy to see they had a vegan section on the menu which makes it easy for me to order correctly, so I give them props for that. When I ordered from them (via Uber Eats) this past August, I was happy with my food. The vegan Pad Thai was saucy with squares of delicious fried tofu (first photo). However my (Postmates) order in April was unexpectedly disappointing. I got the vegan Pad Thai again (photo 2) and the vegan Pad Pak (photo 3) because it got such good reviews. For both dishes, the tofu was large plain blocks, barely cooked, just stir-fried a bit. I’m not sure if the management or chefs have changed between August and April, but it was a totally different tofu preparation. The Pad Thai sauce flavor was pretty good but the Pad Pak was quite bland. I unfortunately will not be ordering from Phi Chay again (unless I find out they are back to the original tofu) because well-cooked tofu is one of my favorite parts of take-out Thai dishes.

Very friendly service and the food was tasty, directions followed on the special instructions. The beef was tender and the curry, although watery, was flavorful and great over rice. My favorite Thai spot.
Edit- I went back and it’s even more delicious. The steamed mussels and Thai potato stir fry are chef’s kiss!

Lovely little gem of a Thai restaurant! I was delighted by the Pad Thai and look forward to future visits to dig deeper in the menu.

Delicious and savory flavors made fresh! Waiter was very good and food was definitely sharable! Our recommendation is to get plates to share, you won’t be disappointed! The Thai fried rice was bomb but really enjoyed it all!

My wife and I had a wonderful meal together for our date night. The tea with honey was so good on a cool rainy night. egg rolls were done more Vietnamese style than Chinese, which we loved. The vegetarian combo with chicken and garlic sauce was perfectly seasoned, and I had the beef with veggies and potatoes so good! We had plenty to box up and take home, so we would have room for the mango sticky rice dessert, which was delicious! Wonderful restaurant in the heart of the West 7th area with a great outdoor dining area that we look forward to going back to enjoy later in the summer.

This is a great place for Thai. The flavors are bold and bright. I tried the curry, sweet & sour chicken and a few other dishes. I liked them all, and I do not like spicy food. All our dishes were mild and full flavor.
I look forward to returning sometime.

This place is tucked away on 7th St. in St. Paul and if you’re driving by and blink, you might miss it. But don’t. The service was good and the food was flavorful and vibrant. We ordered two appetizers and three entrees. The standouts were the sarong – pork meatballs wrapped in crispy noodles and the roast duck red curry. It was a tiny bit salty, but once its on rice, the saltiness dies down. Great portion to price value.
