One of my favorite carts at oak tree. Also my toddler loves it! I’ve always gotten a large sandwich to share with him and it’s had good meat to bread ratio so I haven’t experienced some of the issues that other reviewers have. I usually even have some leftover for lunch the next day. I think the price is actually good/better than other places in Vancouver, the price of their double meat, large sandwich is similar to others smaller/medium sandwiches.

I ordered the large pastrami sandwich. When it came it was the small because they were out of the large sized buns. When asked if this was the large, she said she only charged for a medium. Had I known, I would’ve went to another truck. This is what I got. Nothing like the picture. One slice of pastrami…. I would give zero stars if it was a possibility. This was $18.

I would say they need to work on their speed, took a very long time to get my sandwich, ordered here first and we got two other meals, and almost finished them before the sandwich was ready.
That being said, I got the large phatz stroganoff (#4), the sandwich was packed full, and was quite tasty. I give it 4 stars, everyone seemed friendly enough, the food was filling and tasted good, but the speed was a bit disappointing. With all the options in the immediate area that are faster and with equal or better taste, I will probably not frequent this cart.

Good loaded fries. Probably one of my top items from Oak Tree as a whole. Not much to say besides that. Just a good solid pick.

I was super excited about a Philly truck but unfortunately this does not hit the spot. The customer service was great but the meat to bread ratio and quality of meat used was too far off to be enjoyed. The search continues for a well priced and good tasting Philly in Vancouver. I’m hopeful it’s just new food spot pains and they succeed. Will try again in a couple months when dust settles.

Phat Philly Cheesesteak is the newest food cart at Oak Tree Station. There’s several different types to choose from. I’ve been doing a review of the Philly cheesesteaks in the area. Phat wins on price being slightly cheaper than Steak Your Claim. Having said that, it’s not very big. I ordered the large which is supposed to be 10 to 12 in. I also ordered a medium for my daughter. But it was about the same size. I should say this is their very first day so things may become more consistent as they get up to speed. The flavor was ok. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. ✌

The cashier was extremely rude to begin with. She told me it would be a 10 min wait, like cool no problem turned into an almost 30 min wait. When I went up to get my food she didn’t want to give me the drink I paid for because “it’s given when you pay” mine however wasn’t. I asked for a side
Of ranch when I ordered it was not in the bag so I went back up she acted like I was the biggest inconvenience. Definitely will not be back.

Cashier was friendly. Sandwich was a disappointment. The steak was swimming in cheese (got the phats dip) and pretty much flavorless. Tasted like there wasn’t any seasoning on it whatsoever

Tried this place for the first time today. Highly disappointed. Absolutely no flavor to the food. The au ju tasted like water. Not worth it at all. I could have went to subway for a better sandwich. Honestly should have asked for my money back.

There is more meat on a mouse than was on my sandwich. I was told that is standard and you have to order the large for more meat. Unless you are wanting bread and cheese don’t order the medium
