As someone who grew up outside Philadelphia, I know a thing or two about authentic cheesesteaks. Phat Jerry’s Phillies delivers the real deal! The bread is perfectly soft and fresh, the steak is juicy and flavorful, and the cheese melts just right. It’s like a taste of home every time I visit. Whether you’re a Philly native or just a fan of great sandwiches, this place won’t disappoint. Highly recommended!

I did not expect a place this yummy to be HERE. The employees working were super friendly and incredibly passionate about making Phillies.
My mom wanted to order a veggie Philly (an idea that seemed so foreign and wrong to me) but the gentleman behind the counter explained WHY their veggie Phillies are awesome and delicious. My mom got both a regular Philly AND a vegetarian Philly.
I got a HUGE Philly. There was tons of meat and cheese. I ordered my Philly exactly as they offer it and it was no disappointment. It kept me full for hours to come.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this place!

Consistently amazing!!! Been coming here for years, this place has never let my family or I down!!! GREAT portions, but you’re gonna wanna add everything on it!!! Garlic fries are DIVINE- you better enjoy garlic tho!!! If you’re confused or not sure about what to get, the Super Philly is always a classic, but the employees always have great suggestions- again, NEVER been let down!!!

Best cheesesteak in the Sacramento area. I have tried most of the other restaurants hoagies but none come close to Phat Jerries, especially if you consider the price and quality. Not the best bread I had but I forget all about it once I take the first bite. Would highly recommend.

Dave & I split the 15’inch *Original Philly cheese steak with grilled onions and sweet grilled peppers !
Briannah had the 7’inch *Philly cheese steak hoagie (no onions and peppers for her, please)
it comes with lettuce tomato and mayo!
We made them meals one w/steak fries & soda
& one onion rings & soda for lil extra.
Everything was cooked fresh to order and was D’lish.
We dined in today!
nice lil spot to hang out enjoy lunch …
& watch t.v on the big screen
Service was great.
All friendly & very helpful.
No leftovers today
We will be returning to try the Chicken Philly Sammiches for Sure

Getting a good Philly cheese steak is like a endless quest for me, there are a lot of places in Sac where you can get one, most are pretty good, but its few and far between where you finish one and tell your self “that was awesome!”
Somebody on reddit was asking for suggestions for a cheese steak, most of them were you standard locations, but Phat Jerry’s was getting a lot of love on that thread, so the wife and I decided to take a lunch time trip down to watt ave to try one out.
We decided to get the “hoagie” cheese steak we like a little bit of lettuce, tomato and mayo on our cheese stakes. After about 10 mins our food was ready and we went to where we were parked to check them out.
These had so much meat, cheese, onions that we could tell it was going to be a challenge to eat these without making a mess. I wasn’t expecting the lettuce and tomato’s to just be sitting on top of it all but it didn’t look like there was any other option to put it.
After waiting a couple of mins for them to cool down enough to pick them up and start. I took my first bite… WOW!!! these were good, there are some peppers in there that have a little bit of a kick. not so hot where it takes away from the flavor, but still pretty hot. (boarderline for us) The bread was hot and soft, there was a ton of meat and cheese and we were stuffed after we were done. The onion rings were awesome also! I think my quest for a killer cheese steak is complete, I now know that if I want a killer cheese steak we are heading to Phat Jerry’s!!!!

Been there a few times. Food is awesome best philisteak sandwich in town, service is great. The pleace needs a bit of work to make it an all star winner. No music on the background makes the ambiance tense, napkins and stuff are not well stocked, tables empty but not clean.

While visiting Sacramento for work, we’re always looking for the hole in the wall, locally owned, places to eat. This place is a Jem! The food was better than what we read and Jerry was there!!
In the time it took us to get our orders, he has us smiling and laughing with him. Very authentic guy!! I will be coming back for sure next time with me and my crew!!

we loved this place. i had a chicken philly sandwich, which was delicious. hubby had a philly steak sandwich with curly fries. he liked his sandwich too but thought it was missing something like sauce maybe. we both agreed that the fries were cooked to perfection (crisp, not soggy at all), but tasted gross due to the flavor of the grease they were cooked in. too bad because they would have been great. this place is very accessible but bring a friend to help you with the front door. the restroom is family style and appeared to be accessible as well, although i didn’t go in. this place was very clean when we were there. no odors. I wish they served unsweetened drinks like plian iced tea.
