It’s basically coming to your uncles shop where he’ll receive you with open arms, heart and super delicious food.
The vibes are 10/10 local shop. Places like these must be protected at all cost!
When you come here, please try the oxtails – you will NOT be disappointed. The hours are super convenient and the food is fresh fresh. Like no Sysco-made food, I’m talking about fresh, home cooked food – one of those places you can’t find in Miami anymore.
So grateful for finding this place, will become a regular. See you all soon! ↕️

The menu is a tasty mix, and everything is made fresh, like it just jumped out of a shiny food magazine. Seriously, you’ll want to dig in! The owner, MUGZ, greets you at the door like a long-lost uncle who’s just itching to fill your belly and send you on your merry way. If you glance at the menu and nothing tickles your taste buds, fear not! MUGZ is ready to channel his inner chef and whip up whatever your heart desires. Came to Miami for vacation. I googled a subshop in the area. Phat Boy Subs, 5 stars, ok I’ll try it. You won’t just try it. It’s an experience. Mugz was the man. Awesome to talk to, super personable. He made the subs for my family and I, let me taste the filling, and I couldn’t stop saying how excited I was to eat the sub. Got back to the hotel, and was floating it was SO GOOD. By far the best sub I’ve ever had. 100 percent recommend this shop to everyone. Thanks Mugz!

Forget every sub place you know and come try Mugz’s menu. The moment we entered we were treated like old friends and felt right at home. The Phat City Subs menu is like no other and is truly authentic. They offer your regular sub staples, Cuban and Puerto Rican sandwiches, wings, pizza, and the list goes on! Each choice will have you coming back for more without a doubt. You can customize it all your way knowing it will always be delicious and fresh at the end. He also offers a variety of plates throughout the week including Arroz Imperial and Oxtail!

I’ve never had a chicken sandwich I want to come back to and I also used to work at a sub shop. My husband was absolutely in love with the Philly Cheesesteak made with real fresh steak, no tricks. At the end Mugz even offered us a flan I couldn’t keep stay away from and I am not a fan of flan at all really.
The establishment is extremely clean including the bathroom which is very important to me. It seems to be taken care of like you would your own home. Besides that, the prices are are very reasonable for the quality the food is and you’ll probably forget it after you take your first bite. I absolutely can’t wait to come back!! Thank you Mugz!!

We were at a nearby hotel and wanted a good, night before we go home, dinner. We usually do pizza but saw Phat City in our list. After mulling over the choices the wife and I decided to split the Super Cubano and fries. The sandwich was huge and the pork was tender and delicious. The Cuban roll had the right amount of crispy and soft and the juice from the pork melted right in. Hands down the best Cubano we have ever had. Im sitting at the airport now wondering if they may ship to Colorado! If in Miami give this a try, you will not be dissapointed.
