Had the 4 meat sampler(ribs, brisket, smoked sausage and burnt bologna ends) with Mac & cheese and cole slaw as the 2 sides. Ribs stole the show and were some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Service was very polite and fast. Will definitely return!

Good but there’s no way I could In good conscious know I just served a customer a handful of pork with most of it being inedible because it’s a huge chunk of fat or that other slimy fluff that comes off meat while it’s cooking… That’s basically all that was on my pulled pork potato tonight, besides what was crisped so hard I couldn’t eat it. But overall though aside from that, even with that being the main part of it kind of, it was still very flavorful and tasty… I’m sure I will be back, hopefully it’ll be better next time.. although it was still fine tonight, just not the fatty/crisped pork. But it’s not the end of the world. Yet, anyways, lol.

This is a small restaurant with limited seating, however there was a place for us. The food was good and our order came pretty quick. There were several selections of unique BBQ sauces and our kept our drinks full. She was also very friendly and polite.

I got the pulled pork sandwich and a side of Mac & cheese with a drink for $9.25. All the food was tasty, hot, and i thought the portions were good for the price I paid. Next time I would see if they could toast the bread on the sandwich as I think it would be a nice addition. The employees were friendly and helpful! Would recommend!

Came in for a Union football game and decided to give it a try. Hands down the best bbq we’ve ever had. An amazing little hole in the wall restaurant. With a one of a kind atmosphere. Very pleased!

Arrived around 6:45 @ the Barbourville location with a party of 4. No tea or fries here. The waitress was attentive and kept our drinks full. Ribs and slice pork was very, very dry and disappointing. The burnt bologna ends tasted like they were cooked 2 days ago and served. Not good at all. Beans were very sweet and no one at our table liked them. Sausage was dry and shriveled up. Waitress and menu stated 4 meat dinner would come with 1/2 chicken. Sounded great, but, only a bland leg thigh quarter was served. By now we were just ready to go. Poor choice for us. I hope that it was just late and they were focused on closing. Not sure. We were so excited to see a BBQ place in town but unfortunately it was disappointing. Bill total was $70. We will not return. Sad…

This is a 3.5/4 fork experience. It’s a nice building with a few tables, cool inside and clean.
The ribs have been smoked, but I must have gotten some stored a bit long in the foil & over time the steam created what I’d describe as crock pot ribs. They have the flavor of steamed meat and fall apart too easily. If you like that, you’ll like these.
The sausage isn’t anything to brag about. It’s mass produced sausage thrown in a smoker. It tastes a bit like the processed nature of a Johnsonville or Hillshire. My acid reflux agrees.
The pulled pork & chicken is standard. Not especially smokey or naturally sweet. It’s a lot better than some places, so if you want a decent sandwich this is the way to go.
The sliced pork is also good. It’s juicy, super tender and has a good flavor.
Sides:
The mac n cheese was solid and grainy. The cheese sauce has likely broken apart. Too high heat or something. They also put bits of pull porked or something in it and it changed the flavor. Had one bite.
Coleslaw was pretty standard. Has a little sweet, a little relish flavor. I like more of a sweet and vinegary slaw, but this one is fine.
Baked beans are baked beans. A bit more molasses flavor than brown sugar. I liked them fine. It’s hard to screw up baked beans.
Iced coffee was good, but more sweet forward than coffee forward, as all the ice and addons will dilute the coffee. An espresso machine would help with that.
The lemonade was good, just had the plain standard. 5 bucks a glass was a bit steep for what I got.
The pickled okra is a great giardiniera style pickled veggie. I’ll be adding okra to my homemade from the garden this year. Fun surprise.
$40 later for lunch, with tip, we decided that would likely be our last time. Love that it’s here and folks have an option, but it’s not an affordable vs. quality option for us.
