Reviews
First off, the owner and the young fella (son?) behind the counter were super friendly and helpful; and I mean SUPER friendly. I had never been treated so well in a restaurant before. Constantly checking on us, being talkative and friendly, offering us samples, etc,. My girlfriend ordered one (1) sahlab drink (look it up) and the owner brought me a small cup of it as well just so I could have my own. Also, as we were getting ready to leave, the owner brought us each a small Egyptian cookie. He is a such a kind man. I’d pay extra for that kind of service. They don’t ask for tips nor is it an option on the ordering screen, but I will bring cash specifically to tip them next time. You will be treated like family and friends.
As far as the food goes; incredible. I got a steak shawarma wrap with muhammara sauce with a side of seasoned fries and a spinach & feta sambosa. It was delicious. I was stuffed long before I could eat everything, but I still kept going since it was so good. Very authentic cuisine by people who care about the food they serve. This is not some imitation Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant started by the snobby, middle-aged couple who went to the same school as you. This is the real deal and you will be pleased with every aspect.
There are many options to choose from and if you don’t know what a certain item is, they will describe it to the best of their ability or even let you sample it. They’re proud of what they make so they are happy to let you try. Lots of good dessert and drink options as well if you have a sweet tooth. I will certainly come back for more.
The inside is very clean, well-organized, and modestly decorated. The music was a good touch too. I’m telling you; there is some love put into this place.
I’m not one to ever write reviews, but I feel that Pharaoh’s Feast was deserving of another 5-star review. They have gained a repeat customer. Thank you guys.
It feels less like a restaurant and more like you’re stepping into someone’s home. The service has that warm, Middle-Eastern hospitality calm, and genuinely caring.
The mixed grill was exactly what we were hoping for. The meat is fresh, juicy, perfectly cooked. The chicken is flavorful, the kebabs are rich and tender, the beef & lamb is soft with no extra fat or dryness.
And the spices actually. Just right. Not too much, not too little, that perfect golden balance.
The dolma with rice was amazing soft, flavorful, wrapped in delicate grape leaves.
And the rice here is real, fluffy, perfectly cooked and not sticky, not mushy, just really good rice.
Nothing feels pretentious, it’s simple, real food made with care.
Definitely a spot we’re coming back to
The food is quite delicious. I love the flavorful rice and meats. A nice addition to Dahlonega
I got the churros dubai. Yummy for sure. The deserts are varied and yummy
Always a treat as new items become available. The pasta dish was delicious.
The owner is very kind and take good care of his guests. You definitely feel welcome. Their menu keeps evolving. I love trying new foods. Definitely a plus in Dahlonega
This is also very close to the Consolidated Gold Mine tours, so it’s easy to go for a bite after you go on the tour there.
This is a great place to go for a quick bite for lunch or for a nice dinner. You’re lucky to know this place because it has Absolutely Fresh Food, made to order from scratch. A healthier choice for furl for your body.
This is the best Mediterranean restaurant in Dahlonega. They also deliver with doordash and offer takeaway as well.
The owners of this restaurant is very friendly. They talked to us a lot and while we waited for our meal they let us try Egyptian cookies which are family specialty.
We stopped in for a mid-afternoon bite to eat. We opted for the plate that was recommended by the owner, the lamb kebab and we added Chicken on the side. This was an excellent choice. The lamb was juicy and succulent and well cooked and seasoned. The lamb was tender to the bite with just enough seasoning to not overpower but add to the flavor of the meat. The chicken was soft and tender and juicy with Kabob flavorings and melted in your mouth. By adding the chicken to the lamb kebab plate this was enough for both of us to share and very reasonably priced, especially for the portion size and quality of the food.
This plate comes with a side saffron rice that is some of the best saffron rice I’ve tasted. I couldn’t stop eating it. These grains were extra long and there or some highly infused with saffron and then cooked with the rest of the rice. This gave it a deep texture and flavor. The tahini sauce was our choice for dipping
This also comes with the Greek salad which is an actual Greek salad that features sweet onions, tomatoes, peppers, Kalamata olives, and cubes of feta with a traditional traditional dressing. A true Greek salad should not have lettuce and true to the tradition this one is fresh and hits the spot to accompany the meat and rice.
Also, don’t forget they have family style meals as well had a very reasonable price to bring in the whole family
We also took a takeaway box of desserts to share with friends. This box included every one of the desserts from the dessert case. Different kinds of baklava made in house. There were also rolled baklava pieces and Harisa. This was the perfect size for sharing with a couple of friends over coffee later that evening.
Pharaoh’s Feast is a Hidden Gem and a place that we will be visiting again the next time you’re looking for a healthy bite to eat.
I got the chicken shawarma combo, which comes with fries, a small sambosa, and a drink. The chicken shawarma was incredibly aromatic — every bite was full of flavor, and I ended up eating the whole thing without even stopping. The sambosa had a nice little kick, and you can really tell it’s homemade (pretty much everything is, aside from the fries ).
They even included a handwritten note with my order, which was such a thoughtful touch and really shows how much they appreciate their customers. Small gestures like that make a big difference.
If you’re in Dahlonega and want delicious, homemade Mediterranean food from a family-run business, definitely give Pharaoh’s Feast a try. Highly recommend!
The service was great, though, and my boyfriend enjoyed the coffee. I just wish the food and dessert had matched the experience.
