Celebrated dual birthdays yesterday at Pez Vela. The staff and food were incredible. Josh did an amazing job managing our large party and the chef received an applause from all. Everything presented was not only gorgeous but absolutely delicious. The restaurant decorated the table and personalized a birthday greeting card. Thank you for making our birthdays so special.

Wow! This is the best sushi i have ever had. The fish is amazingly fresh tasting and delicious. It doesnt have that old frozen fish taste. The flavors explode in your mouth. Also finally found a restaurant that serves REAL hogfish. Was excellently cooked and paired. The drinks were also good and the atmosphere was very modern with great vibes. Its pricey but worth the money hands down. I think the best restaurant in the area! If it was waterfront the place would be untouchable. 5/5!

We went here for a birthday and they treated us exceptionally well. Toby was our waiter and went over the top to treat us exceptionally well with appetizers, main course recommendations and desert. We had sushi, bogo cocktail specials, and a variety of courses such as chicken, pork and noodles, and lobster with squid in linguine. They brought out a phenomenal desert. Would recommend as high quality and reasonably priced.

I went for my birthday. The food and service were exceptional. From the time I walked in I felt special, as they acknowledged my birthday and even had the table decorated. They also gave me a card which was such a nice touch. We got the Noche in Miami roll, Steak empanadas, Beef rib, Skirt steak and the Dubai chocolate dessert (compliments of the restaurant as a gift) Everything was so well done & presented. The drinks were also very nice. I’ve never had such nice service for a birthday dinner and I can’t wait to go back and try different menu items. Truly a 10/10 experience!

A really great spot with some gems on the menu. We went for a Birthday and they had the table decorated. The server never mentioned it at all. No dessert for the birthday girl. No card etc as some others have mentioned. Now onto the review…
The Fritta Sushi roll:
was one of the best we have ever had for a roll. Truly excellent. I think its the one thing we forgot to get a photo of.

The Coulet (Picanha steak):
was really good although it came out cold. Which was solely the fault of our supremely subpar server. More on her later.

Peruvian Ceviche:
Really really good and we recently returned from Peru so we have a good gauge for this. They should however add a little spice and serve it with a spoon. Which we asked for after.

Lobster Risotto:
Rissoto is tough to pull off. They did it well. The lobster is literally just a big well seasoned lobster tail on top of it. Interesting presentation and the meal was enjoyed.

We had a girl who spoke very little english and it seems has never actually served people before. I believe she called herself Karen. Nice enough girl but does not belong from of house as a server. She dropped the ball in every aspect and an experienced diner will always be disappointed.

Will definitely be back and will most certainly ask for a different server and would probably send back my steak if cold in the future. This time we did not have the luxury of time.
Downside: Your meal like a steak does not come with a side. Not even mashed potatoes etc. The sides are around $14. Which is insane for a side like that. So be aware.
Overall: 4/5 for the food alone

Delightful experience. Will come back and enjoy happy hour. Service was phenomenal and everything tasted delish. Highly reccomend matador exspierence. Mashed were Devine and truffle mac and cheese was impressive. Drink specials were to die for. Josh was attentive and had great recommendations. Saturday night vibe was great with live music. The noche in Miami roll was excellent and the picnha had good flavor but I had a hard time chewing it. I am very picky with my cut of meat but overall everything was great. Drinks were on point too.

Our family celebrated Christmas at Pez Vela, and it was hands-down one of the *best dinner experiences we’ve ever had*. Every detail—from the atmosphere to the service to the food—was so thoughtfully planned that it felt special from the moment we arrived.
The restaurant offers the perfect balance of comfort and ambiance. There’s an indoor/outdoor bar with a view of live entertainment, a beautifully screened-in outdoor dining area with **multiple fans and absolutely no bugs**, and heat lamps to keep you cozy if it’s cool out. If you run warm, the indoor seating with AC is just as inviting. The furnishings are stylish yet comfortable, and the adjustable table lamps were such a considerate touch for older guests to easily read the menus.
The live pianist/singer set the mood perfectly—relaxing, never too loud, and enjoyable for all generations at the table. It truly elevated the entire experience.
Our server, **Josh**, went above and beyond in a way that’s incredibly rare. He actually texted us *hours before our reservation* to ask whether we preferred indoor or outdoor seating—and even held both options for us until we arrived. Throughout the evening, he was attentive, polished, and thoughtful: cleaning the table, changing plates and silverware between courses, and even refreshing our soy sauce without being asked.
Josh also made phenomenal recommendations. The **chef’s choice sushi boat trio** was out of this world (Dragon Roll, Intenso Roll, and one so good we forgot the name!). The food was visually stunning and absolutely delicious. The scallops arrived in a **flaming shell**, which was both dramatic and mouthwatering, and the corn salsa was unforgettable. Dessert was just as impressive, with indulgent chocolate options and refreshing fruity choices that perfectly rounded out the meal.
We loved every single minute—so much so that we took photos of *everything*. This wasn’t just dinner; it was a full experience. The food will truly blow you away, and the atmosphere makes you want to linger and soak it all in.
