Petunia’s Pizza is my one-man, small-batch sourdough pizza project, focused on cozy, comforting squares with a light, airy crumb and crispy caramelized cheese edges. I also offer crispy 16 round pies inspired by old school east coast pizzerias that I loved from my time spent over there. I cure my own bacon, pickle chiles, sauté mushrooms, and make my own sausage so the pizzas stay big on flavor and rich, balanced, and really satisfying. Everything is made to order for takeout and delivery in Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, and the greater Sacramento area.

Found this place as a pop up and I’m so happy they’ve found a kitchen to provide more consistent hours. This is currently my favorite pizza in Sac. I’m obsessed with the crisp and chewy texture of the sourdough crust. The toppings are tasty and the bake is always perfect. Worth every penny! Highly recommend. (And if you needed another reason, the owner is so kind and the pies are named after family cats!)

This pizza hit all the marks for my wife and I. We ordered a combination and a vegetarian. Both were just umami bombs with various textures from the crunchy baked-cheese edges to a softer center. The pepperoni and sausage are top notch, the red is sauce is savory without all the typical over seasoning. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the fermented Serranos but it just gives a nice warmth to the mouth feel and a little zip to contrast other rich flavors… it’s a well balanced pie. It’s filling and grubby.
