We visited for the lunch menu and really enjoyed it as the dishes were fresh, well executed and had a slightly different twist, even if they weren’t particularly inventive. I especially rated the Isle of Skye scallop (supplement). The service was warm and attentive throughout. Kane in particular was friendly, engaging and had good banter which made the experience more enjoyable.

Beautiful platting, however, the flavours where not quite there, it was a bit disappointing. We had the lunch menu where we found out that the sorbet was too sweet, and the rest of the dishes were fine, but I was not impressed giving it is a Michelin Star restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend.

I had hoped to give it a 5 but… Pros and Cons.
Pros. We had the Festive Lunch Menu which for the price was very good value. The wine was excellent! Whoever buys Ramsey’s wine is top notch as we have had excellent wine at his other restaurants. We had the S African Cabernet Sauvignon which after letting it stand for 10 mins was beautiful and good value.
Cons.. I expected an explosion of taste with some courses but it didn’t happen. The food was presented very well though. The service was a bit lacklustre, we were told what every course was but it was like a monologue with no expression or pride. If you are serving lovely food please make it a wonderful experience and be proud of what you are presenting.
No Christmas decorations inside, just a few would have made it a bit nicer. The biggest downfall was the toilets! The gents is small, one cubical and a urinal, so when visiting and the cubical door is open and the lid is up you don’t expect to be greeted with a dirty unflushed toilet, surely the people who eat here have basic sanitary skills! I’m taking my other daughter and her husband towards the end of the year so hopefully it will be a bit better.

Loved everything about our meal here! Worth the hype! Food and service were artful and perfectly timed for each course of the meal. It wasn’t cheap but that was expected. Would recommend for that special occasion or a Friday

I had the lunch menu yesterday(23/10/25) firstly I didn’t know what the expect. First time here, had to look up some of the dishes! I went with an open mind. My lunch consisted of a cured salmon starter with a cream/chive sauce. Amazing!! Salmon melted in my mouth, the sauce ❤️ rich, creamy but not overpowering. Then the lobster raviolo. A single ravioli, had to look this up! Again Amazing! So light. Came with a lobster bisque sauce. Could’ve of eaten the sauce on its own. Main course was duck, I have duck rarely. I often think of duck as greasy this wasn’t the case. Didn’t require cutting as it was so tender. I’m now a duck convert.

Two desserts came next, A apple sorbet.so so light! I’d have been happy just with this. Last course was a fig chocolate bomb, was a work of art! Almost didn’t want to eat it.

My wine of choice? Petrus ❤️❤️ yes it’s extremely expensive but I whole purpose was to drink this wine. It’s a bucket list item for me. I wasn’t disappointed. 125ml of plum coloured loveliness!! Rich, superb mouth feel, long finish, great legs down the glass
Sweet fruit and a silky smoothness. £600! Worth every penny!!

The staff are spectacular! Very knowledgeable, attentive, more importantly down to earth. Was concerned I’d feel uncomfortable here but I couldn’t have been more relaxed.

Had a lovely couple to chat to also as I went alone. Really friendly and worldly

Lastly I received some complimentary 20yr old port never had this before, superb!!

Pétrus is located in a beautiful part of London, and it’s certainly a restaurant worth visiting.

My wife and I went to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary, having heard glowing recommendations from friends. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special – we were warmly welcomed, seated straight away, and multiple members of staff wished us a happy anniversary. A handwritten card waiting at our table was a particularly thoughtful touch.

Service throughout the evening was exceptional. Rather than being assigned to just one waiter, we were looked after by a team, all of whom were excellent. Without needing any reminders, they explained how the Heritage Tasting Menu had been adapted to suit my dietary requirements, which I greatly appreciated.

The meal started strongly – the chef’s choice canapés were delicious, and the warm malted soda bread with salted butter was outstanding. The tomato broth was fresh and full of flavour, and the scallops were cooked to perfection.

The only slight disappointment came with the cod and lamb dishes. Both were well cooked but under-seasoned and missing the “wow” factor that the earlier courses had delivered. They weren’t bad by any means, just less memorable. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her dessert, though I chose not to have one myself.

Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience. The service in particular stood out as exceptional, and the attention to detail made our anniversary feel truly special. While I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pétrus to others, I’m not sure we would return ourselves while this particular menu remains in place

Simply left hungry and with an upset stomach. Portion was tiny tiny tiny and the food portion was getting smaller course by course. It started well with the pumpkin and scallops and went downhill afterwards. For a set menu with extra duck liver added to the first course (menu price at £150+£15), I was disappointed there was still not enough food for dinner. Temperature dropped a bit these days so when the portion was tiny, my stomach didn’t get the food and warmth at dinner time, and I was “forced” to eat the cold, dry bread, my stomach was complaining physically. I raised that to the manager but there was nothing he could do or rectify. So I asked for the bill, hoping to get something else from the supermarket before it closed. The manager said the petit four was coming from the kitchen, so I waited and waited… At last, I did sample two warm madeleine and decided to leave the rest untouched. It wasn’t good anyway. I was hoping to have a proper dinner with good fish and meat (and vege), not filling my stomach with cold, dry bread and madeleine. That’s not my understanding of a Michelin-starred set menu for dinner. I heard the couple from the other table complaining about the small portions to the restaurant staff, too. And they were still talking about the disappointment between them the whole night. Apparently, this has been a known problem the restaurant should have been given a lot of feedback and the restaurant refused to address. No wonder it was easy to book on the same day.

I had one of the best meals at this restaurant. I visited it during lunch time, and selected a discovery tasting menu. When I saw an indulgence of matching wines, I just couldn’t say no to them. The somelie who created that wine list is really good at her job, as it’s nothing short of being amazing. The food itself was excellent. Each dish was beautifully presented, explained by the wait staff, and tasted great.
The service was top notch. I’m actually a little surprised that Petrus has just one star as it really deserves another one.

Took my partner here to celebrate a birthday. We opted for the lunch menu £47pp + supplement £25pp. We shared a bottle of house champagne ~£115 with water and coffee each. Total bill inc 15% service was £325.

We enjoyed it. It was a nice experience. Staff were friendly, professional but relaxed (in a good way). They provided a card and a small chocolate dessert as a birthday gesture.

Food was nice but I think I expected more, however I loved the salmon with butter, chive and horseradish sauce. The lobster supplement was probably my least favourite – the sauce was like a burnt caramel, which didn’t compliment well. House champagne and coffee both great!
