Petro’s is a regional restaurant in the southeast. If you’re visiting the area and have never had it, it is worth a try. Petro’s offers chili and chips, hot dogs, baked potatoes, and salad wedges. The Original “Petro” has Fritos, chili, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and green onions. Or You can add other toppings too. It’s really good. On this visit, I had the Double Dog Deal. I got a cheesy queso dog and a Petro dog. It includes Fritos. Service was quick and friendly. Food was great as always. Definitely recommend

This petros has seriously gone downhill. I’ve had bad experiences before involving rude staff, but today I ordered a medium Petro (their namesake menu item, mind you) and it has no Fritos. Didn’t realize until I got home. Sometimes it’s in the bowl with the chili and sometimes on the side, so I didn’t think anything of it.

Petros used to be one of my favorite places to go…but the last few times, I’ve been very disappointed. It had been a while since I had been there and this was my experience today…small Petro half full and it was all chips…same with the medium one I got. I ordered a hot dog with chili and there was no chili ( I was charged for it). The only thing that was good today was the tea.

I recently visited Pedro’s Chili and Chips and was delighted by their menu options. They offer at least three vegan and three vegetarian dishes, including the wonderful vegan nachos. The nachos are deliciously tasty and not too salty, which I really appreciate. The service was kind and attentive, and for an extra touch, you can add jalapeños and black olives. It’s fantastic to see a fast food restaurant supporting vegan options that are both tasty and filling. I have to give them five stars!

Great food and service each time I stop by. Petro’s is a restaurant I try to stop by each time I’m in the Johnson City area. I typically get my Petro without tomatoes and onions, but I highly recommend getting the Petro with jalapeños and olives. The chips and queso also accompany the Petro well and make for a great meal!

Wanted a good chili dog which was good. Finally a decent chili dog in the area.
The sweet tea was bad.
I asked for sugar and come to find out they don’t use real sugar at the location. They don’t even have any packets of sugar to sweeten your tea.
Will not be back until they get real sweet tea. I dumped my tea in the sink and poured a fountain drinks instead.

Small chain restaurant atmosphere. It was not very busy when we were there but we still had to wait a few minutes for someone to come take our order. The Petro potato was very large, plenty of food reasonable price. The wedge salad was very good and also a generous portion. The cheese dip was okay. A few minor negatives there were a lot of tiny chips or chip crumbs with the chips and queso order, not ideal for dipping. The Fritos on the Petro seemed some what stale. Overall, the restaurant and bathroom were clean, there food was decent and not overpriced and the service was okay.

Everything I have tried at Petros has been so good. I especially recommend their loaded baked potato! Huge potato baked to perfection with butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, bacon and green onion. The price is under 9.00 and it’s just yum.
